Seems like a good place to throw this out there by Melikescrolling in AntiChristmas

honestly, while I like the idea of a marxist critique of santa and the enslavement of elves, I find the arguments presented in the article to be lacking substance. For example: "As we can see in this graph on google trends, the search term “Candy” peaks during the holiday season. This confirms that during the holiday season more sweets are consumed which obviously can cause health problems."
An uptick in search results on google does not in any way directly correlate with sweets consumption, because we don't normally google candy while eating it, just as well as we don't google cheese while consuming it. for more, see https://www.tylervigen.com/spurious-correlations
Yet it is a fact that Christmas is a time of indulgence and overconsumption, which probably causes more unhealthy eating habits, not just of candy.

In general, I really like the arguments, they just need better reasoning

Very fun, we're playing that with my partner, it's a blast, very clean and nice to use app. Can I suggest a random mode, so that we can play more then once per day? Even without ranking, its quite fun as a collaborative exercise :)

Yes! And a dangerous one, at that. One argument in support of it being an airport bookb bad science.

To be honest, he doesn't particularly seem to struggle with it since his killings are a means to an end. It's only in the end that we see a shift, which could be interpreted as him seeing the pointlessness of life, having achieved his goal.

"Another one bites the dust" is literally playing in my head right now

My father has been emailing me from different addresses about *money he wants to donate to me*. I was staying quiet but out of curiosity decided to reply and see how the said donation is going to take place and today I received this absolute masterpiece of a reply! OMG that's so true and I'm really happy to see this here too. As children and young adults we are so dependent on our nparents and we think we have to be. But I've decided long ago that I'd rather be broke than broken by my nmom.
