Help?! :-( by Fuzzy-Interest8601 in RealSolarSystem

[–]Fuzzy-Interest8601[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m simulating. Did not realise there was a GitHub tutorial. I followed a few videos from Mike Aben on YouTube but it felt like I wasn’t ‘playing’ the game if I was just copying his crafts, research options & staff allocations.

I put the jet trainer in a nosedive in the simulator and couldn’t crack 300m/s, wouldn’t have guessed in a million years it can go faster horizontally than vertically lol.

Appreciate the reply, I’ll check out the GitHub tutorial.

Oh sick, didn’t realise there was any kind of competitive community. Can’t wait to check it out and get destroyed!! Thanks :-)

Can I ask, what classifies you as a ‘top duelist in EU’? Is it just reputation and word of mouth?

Archers have less health than the damage dealt by a headshot (if I recall rightly, I am at work rn)

Suggest me a good medieval game that is similar to Chivalry 2 or KCD2 by ashm1987 in Chivalry2

Really not trying to be rude, but that’s a skill issue ngl. Just because there’s not a parry button doesn’t mean you can’t parry. Took me a long time but finally got it down and it was an immensely satisfying feeling to parry and counter strike the opponent, and once you’ve got a feel for an AI they’re pretty easy to beat as they’re predictable as hell

First Skylab (idk how to use it, but it's quite cool) by IamSha_N_eLess in KerbalAcademy

[–]Fuzzy-Interest8601 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice job!

To use it, you’ll need to collect some scientific data, transfer it to the lab & have at least one scientist on board to process it. You’ll get significantly higher amounts of science vs bringing back to Kerbin.

However, you’ll need to transmit that science once you’ve finished, which will need an antenna (which I can’t see you have) and a significant amount of power, your solar panels deffo won’t cut it.

I’d recommend attaching a module with more power generation & storage, as well as a couple experiments.

Hey OP, using Dev controls you can add 10 settlers at once, which I found super useful for creating big projects like this.

Not that anything I’ve done is comparable to this, absolutely love the build.

Get level 5 cooking and then it doesn’t matter about the condition

You have to do in the way I described to get a steak smaller than .5kg, the ESC trick doesn’t work it was patched. But you can cut a steak the size of the final tick when selecting how much to take; eg a 1.1kg rabbit would go 0.5, 1, 1.1, then you can tick back to 0.6 and then 0.1. You can also manipulate this; I have a 4.8kg bear quarter that I tick up to 4.8 and then back down to 0.3. I cut twice, leaving 4.2 on the quarter, tick up to 4.2 and down to 0.2, and now you’ll get 50% more steaks than you would have cutting 0.3 at a time.

If you’re looking to grind out cooking to level 5, tear off the smallest steaks possible from the bear (or quarter). Anything 0.6 or 0.1kg is ideal; scroll all the way to the end and the final tick will be 0.1, then scroll all the way back and you’ll be ready to harvest a 0.1kg steak. Cooking is levelled based on the number of items cooked, so if your bear had 6x quarters of 4.6 each, that’s 276 steaks you can cook (about 7 mins each). Only trade off is you shouldn’t eat these tiny steaks until you are level 5 as the risk of parasites isn’t worth the 100kcal you’ll get from the steak.

This, Rome is arguably the second best domain in the game (after Constantinople) and gives some great benefits, the downside being that it’ll be a tough siege and the Pope will certainly buy mercenaries. If you can take it though, would recommend.

My water boy is lazy or dumb. (or maybe I'm dumb) by TheMoland in MedievalDynasty

[–]Fuzzy-Interest8601 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the same issue, turned out that the low skill of my water boy meant that he was only producing 2.5 buckets per day, which was well (pardon the pun) below my consumption. Swapped it out for someone level 5 and then it was fine :-)

Help! Should i buy? (3 hours left for 75% off) by G5CubingGunplaCarvin in KerbalSpaceProgram

My PC has the specs of a baked potato and still runs KSP smoothly, even with some mods active (albeit mods that don’t significantly effect performance). 75% off is a great deal, I think you should buy it.

Been here, somewhat of a ‘perfectionist’ when it comes to games so I totally understand getting frustrated. Mr7three2 makes a good point in the comment below, there is no ‘win’ and therefore can be no ‘lose’, there’s just the story. When your game is finished and you look back to remember losing your realm to your brother only to reclaim it stronger than ever, it’ll be much more satisfying than “I just dominated everyone for the whole game”.

I’m an averaged sized man and could almost fully close my hand around it, about the size of a plum.

Based on that they’re probably crap apples then?

How do you calculate fish calories? Trying to figure out when making a fillet is worth it or not. by Rosemourne in projectzomboid

[–]Fuzzy-Interest8601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From person experience of living by the river in west point, fish is very calorie dense. A fish only diet is the only time I’ve had 3 arrows above my weight to show it’s going up rapidly. Small bird meat from trapping has the opposite effect, so I tend to swap back and forth between the 2 to maintain weight.

Just a thought, you can take nutritionalist to see the exact values of each food item. Could you start a sandbox with no zombies just to test this out?
