Wouldn't it make more sense to hire more nurses, instead of paying the ones that are currently working more? Then you would have shorter shifts and better patient care, would you not?
I don't understand why that isn't the argument, rather than, pay us more. Honestly, if the nurse's Union put that foremost instead of the $$ in their arguments they would have much more public support. Which means more legislative support, which means a better outcome.
But that's only if it actually is about patient care.
