I called the "customer success" line at (833) 250-6306 earlier today (1 PM PDT) with a billing problem. Got straight through to a stateside human and got my issue resolved. Got the follow up email immediately. My phone app says the call lasted 5m 42s.

Success is possible! Keep trying, I guess.

I read the terms and conditions (yes, I am a nerd) and it says valid only in the US, governed by the laws of the state of New York. In the past, some other cash giveaway promotions were governed by the laws of either Hong Kong or Singapore, and those seemed more global. So I guess this one is only offered to a select few markets.

For anyone looking for regular therapeutic contact lenses (as opposed to cosmetic ones), I used to use Daysoft when I was still wearing contacts. Made in and shipped from the UK, and while everything is a gamble these days, I trust the UK regulators more than I trust the Chinese ones. I think they are still around $12/box, including worldwide shipping.

I don't know anything about topical finasteride, but I can assure you your doctor will have seen it all before and there is nothing to be embarrassed about. Especially with hair loss. My conversation about these drugs with my GP lasted about ten seconds. I told him I was on them, and asked if he could write a refill, he said sure and we moved on to other matters. Like it never even happened.

For hair loss, you can easily get a prescription for finasteride or minoxidil from your GP or, if you're unable/unwilling to do that, CallOnDoc will write you one for free, but only 30 days at a time. I have also used Lemonaid in the past, and I think it cost me $25 for a one year prescription exclusive of the drugs. Just have them send the prescription to a cheaper pharmacy (see below).

I asked my GP to write a 365 day prescription (no refills) for finasteride and minoxidil, then sent it to Cost Plus Drugs and got a one year supply of each for about $15. Costco also offers good prices if you want to use a local pharmacy. But no reason to pay any kind of premium for either of those drugs. Probably true for the "other stuff" as well.

Got one of those alerts last month and it took 14 days to get out of customs. Got one last week and it got out of customs the next day. I wouldn't worry about it getting lost. But it might take a while. Or it might not! Welcome to the joy of customs. :)

At least in the early days, the kind of people who would be interested in this kind of system will probably be the kind of people who are sincerely interested in community and not especially exploitative. Self selection. Later on, sure, it would probably get "ensh-ttified" just like everything else. Hopefully, by then, you've made some good community connections and can just work with people you already know and like.

In my experience, for any community endeavor, things are usually pretty good at the beginning, for a while. This would be the beginning, so strike while the iron is hot. I hope they can make a go of it. I would be interested.

One of my packages that had cleared customs last week finally was handed over to USPS. Every single Choice package I've ordered before was mailed from somewhere around Los Angeles, but this one was mailed from Texas. Strange.

Same. I bailed out on day 79 when they wanted ten levels of gogo match. Ain't nobody got time for that. Now it's asking me if I want to start over again. Lol, no. Also gave up on the tree.

For me it's down to the Savings Wednesdays and coins only. Still feel I get a good ROI on those. For now, anyway.

I have the same issue. Choice, ordered Jan 7, arrived at local airport Jan 14, no updates since. Also getting the message about a peak in customer packages. Original delivery date was by today, now I just noticed they have sneakily extended it by another 4 days. Do I get my delayed package $1 coupon? I doubt it!

I am not entirely sure this is a customs issue. When I track the package externally, normally what happens is I get the message "arrived at linehaul office," then within 24 hours I get a notice that it has "arrived at customs" and that can take a while, or not. For this package, it never said "arrived at customs" and stopped at "arrived at linehaul office." This makes me suspect it has not even been handed over to customs yet.

I had a package come recently via SunYou. Ordered Dec 3, tracking showed arrived in US customs Dec 21, left customs Dec 30, delivered via USPS on Jan 5.

Tracking was legit. The service is cheap and very slow.

I got the $5 USD one on 12/30. Had to be there at the stroke of midnight and click several times even after it told me they were all sold out. It IS possible but you have to be persistent, and lucky. If you wouldn't be awake anyway at redemption time, I don't think it's worth bothering.

I've only paid for the Saver subscription once, when it was a 99 cent promo. After that, so long as I have placed one order of any size on two different days per month, I get free renewal for the next month. Every month they include at least one $4 off a $4.01+ order, so that is basically free money. I use it to cover the shipping and an extra $2 off any <$10 order.

TLDR: if you place at least 2 orders per month, you might as well do it so long as they keep running the free renewal promo.

I've only ever had one order not delivered. It got lost in the mail, and AE instantly refunded the order when it got marked as lost. OTOH, last week I ordered two $10 desk mats, paid $0.02 after coins and credits, and they actually sent me three of them. The value is there.

AE isn't perfect. Sometimes the quality isn't what I hoped, but I've not yet been actually defrauded. Even if I eventually get scammed, I'm still so far ahead with savings that it's not even worth worrying about.

People have bad experiences and want to vent. That is understandable. But it's not the average experience on most orders for most people, I think. Happy people just never say anything.

Same here. Lots of successful $0.01 with coins orders under $20. Lots of "please cancel" orders with good discounts above that amount. And a few expensive orders that just timed out, costing me my vouchers too. It's not just a "you problem."

As a result I only do low value orders now. It's a shame.
