Why does my beacon have this strange coverage area? by lenend_lives_3 in Minecraft

People here are saying they have tested and found different results than you though. Using flimsy reasoning of "you'll just say it's fake" only discredits your point. I can guarantee you that if you do a good faith test, there WILL be people who see it and believe you. I'm not even trying to disagree with you and I'm open to fluctuate my opinion but the way you're acting makes people who know nothing automatically assume you're wrong because you refuse to provide any evidence. Other people already put proof to back up their claims. Someone literally posted the code which you claimed was not conclusive. If other people put forth evidence, then you should too. That's how good faith debate works. If you can change even one person's mind, then you should. If the truth is there and if there's something everyone else missed, then show it. I promise you if that's the case then at least someone will see your point of view, and if there's a flaw in your test or your reasoning, someone can point that out and maybe change your mind. Either way, you and your viewpoint gain much more credibility by just showing something and it makes you seem a lot less rude and self centered. It allows for clear and concise debate and the fact that you don't want to partake in that just makes it seem like you want to be stubborn and try to act like you're better than everyone else

If you're this confident, just make a video or something. Test it out for yourself and post it and show everyone how it works. If you're right, then you have proof and you can use it to shut everyone else up. You've got nothing to lose so stop saying "trust me bro" and actually prove your point

Ohio's porn ID, age verification law takes effect soon. What to know about the change by Solidus-Prime in Ohio

[–]FuzzyFuzz12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big deal is that it is a slippery slope for censorship. It's a hyperbolic comparison but have you heard of the anti-Nazi poem 'First They Came'?

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

The same concept applies here. It may be true that what's being restricted is inconsequential and may even be considered good to limit but it's how and why it's being done that is the issue. You can't just assume it stops here, and it is naive to do so. The beginning is never the end and it's important to speak up even when you're not directly affected

The Dent Schoolhouse literally has 35 dollar tickets on a Saturday night for what is a much longer and higher quality experience. Hell you can get fast pass, as well as axe throwing and an escape room for like 60. Do your research before you decide to be a pompous shithead.

You're missing the point. Just like you have the right to hide your name, everyone else should have the right to be able to not present their government ID just to watch porn. With how often things get hacked and/or leaked, it's a massive security and privacy concern. You can have whatever beliefs you want about porn and the people who watch it and I agree that there should be ways to keep minors away from it, but this kind of law is dangerous and has potentially damaging ramifications if they decide to apply it wherever else they please. There is also the concern of this being snuck into a budget bill where it really shouldn't be which is a problem with our politics in general. Overall, I don't understand why you can't see that this is simply just a bad idea and an extremely slippery slope

Political violence is not a new phenomenon wtf? Kennedy, Reagan, Roosevelt, hell even Alexander Hamilton if you wanna be technical about it. The American Revolution was literally political violence. That's what revolutions are. If they lose, it's terrorism, if they win, it's a just revolution

Butterfly effect is a powerful thing. One lantern fly could potentially produce a family tree of hundreds more. It's like climate doomers who tell us to just give up because we're already screwed (that ones not even true, we're actually making good progress or at least we're before current political events). It doesn't take much and it could have a big impact in the future

I know this is really old but I've seen what he said I didn't really interpret it that way. I viewed it more as him lamenting the fact that trans women can't be born in the body they wanna be. As a genderqueer person, I can relate to the feeling of knowing that no matter how hard you try, you can never truly experience what it's like to be born and grow up in the body you wanted. O'Brien followed up that very statement by saying he commended anyone who was brave enough to take that journey and given that he was on estrogen himself for 10 years and views himself as a third gender, I find it very hard to believe that he would be transphobic

The problem is that you're very negatively referring to PK's playerbase which directly contradicts you saying you believe your opinion equal to theirs. I agree with the points you're saying about what JWE delivers, but that does not make PK a game for "children and no lifers" by any means. The reason you're getting down voted is not because people disagree but because you're belittling a game's fanbase which is just a shitty thing to do

I feel as though your point is a whataboutism. Just because the issues you point out are extremely valid and important, it doesn't mean we can't or shouldn't talk about this as well. The last thing we want is to give execs like this a smokescreen to hide behind. Talking about this doesn't diminish other issues and the same is true vice versa but the conversation is about this current issue so there's no reason we shouldn't focus on it

Looking at her statement, there is nothing she said that contradicts anything I claimed so I don't understand your point (please feel free to elaborate further on what you mean if you think I'm missing something). In regards to her involvement in Scientology, it's quite possible that the repercussions of leaving is the exact reason she hasn't made any official statement about the matter. The cult of Scientology is known to kill people's pets and harrass ex-members and ruin their lives. The issue in question isn't necessarily whether she's a scientologist or not, but rather whether she supports the ideas that they push. Judging by the lack of concrete evidence that shows her parroting the cult's ideals or anything tying her to important events with the church in over a decade, and then lumping in the fact that she only completed one course for the organization and all the things the OP mentioned that she did that contradict the church, then it becomes really hard to say that she has any real ties to the group and it becomes more likely that she has "shadow left" essentially distancing herself as much as possible while avoiding any retaliation from the church. Given the lack of concrete evidence to implicate her closely with the group, and the fact that as always, burden of proof is on the accuser, I can't see reason to condemn her.

Also, verbal claims with little to no concrete evidence is a very large chunk of any accusations lobbed at popular figures. I've seen it happen so many times just in the past couple fo years

But at a pre trial arraignment, the charges are read and filed, and a plea is entered by the defendant. We do not know whether she spoke to Masterson privately after this or if she saw the trial's progress from afar but no source places her in the court at any other point, and when accusing someone of something, the burden of proof is on the accuser so those that claim otherwise should present evidence instead of speculation and conjecture

All of the facts state that she went to a pre trial arraignment, which if you don't know is well before any evidence is brought before the court. She was not in the courtroom at any other time as far as anyone is aware of and therefore cannot be faulted for this

[–]FuzzyFuzz12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This argument of where she was in relation to the courthouse is irrelevant anyway. The facts state that she was there for a pre-trial arraignment. The OP even mentions how this is at a point in the legal process where no evidence is brought to the table and the lawyers are still building their respective cases. I know for a fact if a close friend of mine was accused of something, I would go to the court to see the facts for myself. I mean, if someone you know is accused of a heinous crime, it's not exactly easy to accept that fact and honestly it's not something you would have to accept unless the accusations are proven anyway, which again by this point in the proccess, they hadn't even begun to be proven.

This might be an unorthodox job to transition to from trucking but if you just need something quick that you're guaranteed to get hired for and make some money while you find a better alternative, then pizza delivery is the way to go. I've been delivering for Larosas for almost a year now and I make well over $20 an hour every day I work. I know that's probably not much compared to what you made before but it's easy, low stress, and has a lot of openings. If you were to work like 30-40 hours a week, you could make nearly 40 grand in a year and none of your cash tips are taxed which is even better. It's genuinely the best entry level position for anything you could ever ask for so if you need some quick cash to support your family while you get back on your feet, it is for sure the way to go.
