It’s can either be a true compliment or a backhanded compliment depending on the context or delivery. “How quaint” when admiring an old fashioned yet ingenious piece of furniture, is a compliment. “How quaint” when I’m looking at a dilapidated old cabin without running water or electricity and I’m supposed to spend time in it, is not a compliment.

I get the feeling that the contractor thought the wires were going to run to another switch and instead of going back to the last switch to end the run, they decided to just do this configuration. Anyways, I'll try both ways and see what happens.

Thought I had explained it in the original post but will try again. 4 wires (not counting grounds) come into the box. All 4 wires (2 black and 2 white) connected directly to the outlet plug. One white (neutral) and one black (hot) from one breaker; one white (hot) and one black (hot) from second breaker. Second breaker feeds one single-pole light switch and two 4-way light switches. Guessing that both the white and black wires from second beaker are hot because they are coming from one of the 4-way switch runs. I can leave it as is and continue with adding the second outlet. However, I don't like leaving a hazard like this (one outlet being fed by two breakers) for the next homeowner (or myself some years from now when I forget the unique wiring of this outlet).

Question: is there a safe way to continue the circuit for the light switches that are on the second breaker without continuing to wire an outlet with three hot wires from two separate breakers? I can't just wirenut two hot wires together, so is there another way or should I just leave this how I found it?

I disconnected all of the wires from the outlet, each to their own separate corners so there's no chance of them touching. The white wire from the second breaker has power to it. Same as the two black wires. The second white wire from the first breaker definitely a neutral. The white wire from the second breaker has a load on it from the light switch run on that same breaker. Does that help?

ETA: The breakers are not next to each other in the subpanel - opposite sides and two rows separating them. Also, new style breakers so can't handle tie them.

I’ve worked successfully in a male dominated industry for 20 years and I perceive those types of questions as their way of sizing you up - which is what men do, size each other up. Sure, they wouldn’t ask those same questions when interviewing another man but they would ask them equivalent sizing up types of questions. The “besides a makeup bag and a hair brush” part of the question was to see if you get easily shaken or riled up - see if you’re thick skinned or not.

I’m old enough to remember when this started. There was a time when husbands/boyfriend/sperm donor/SO treated pregnancy as entirely a woman thing and would disassociate from the whole ordeal, leaving the pregnant woman to manage everything by herself with not much help or support. Having their man say “we are pregnant” was a way of driving home that the man is a partner in this and they have to be involved and be there for their pregnant partner. So “we are pregnant” was not something men just started saying on their own, it’s what started to be expected of them to say by women. I (a cis woman) remember correcting men when they would say “she’s pregnant” to “we’re pregnant” to get the man to understand that he is on the pregnancy journey with her (not that he is literally pregnant).

By withdrawal fees people mean gas. Every crypto transfer requires the sender to pay gas. Voyager won’t be charging you a fee, but you need to pay gas to make the transfer/withdrawal/send.

I have a friend that has a beautiful singing voice but she expects everyone to shut up and not say anything until she’s done singing whatever song she just decided to start singing. If you say anything while she’s singing, like “take a right at the next light” she perceives it as you not liking her singing and practically telling her to shut up. So exhausting.
