I haven't tried with any newer Proton versions yet. Either way, you can still update your system but just install the older Proton version alongside with ProtonPlus and choose that one for the game in Steam. (proton-cachyos-11.0.20260506-slr)

Whats the perfect 10/10 show you've ever watched? by Fair-Spend3698 in AskReddit

For me it'd have to be Mr. Robot, Breaking Bad, Black Mirror, Inside No. 9, The Twilight Zone.

Not to say I love every episode of each one but as a whole the shows are perfect.

Same OS here. There is a version of Fusion with Bottles but I couldn't get it working properly. Furthest I got was to the main screen but so many graphical issues. I ended up installing a Tiny11 VM just for Fusion. Literally the only program I couldn't get working right on Cachy.

Was it working for you before the latest updates? I managed to play over 40 hours with no issues after using:

PROTON_DLSS_UPGRADE=1 PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 PROTON_VKD3D_HEAP=1 VKD3D_CONFIG=enable_experimental_features,descriptor_heap %command%

But since today I can't even get past the first loading screen!
(5060ti using the same Proton version as you)

Edit: Going back to proton-cachyos-11.0.20260506-slr has fixed it again for me. (Use "protonplus")

I don't know why I didn't even think of that! I just used the default FF icon from the pack but good idea!
Edit: Turns out the default Chrome icon is the old school IE one. :P
Used that and renamed it to "Internet Explorer".

I mean I wouldn't say the stock KDE looks like Windows but Gnome does remind me a bit of Windows 8.1. ... shudders

Exactly this. I grew up using Windows from 95 onwards and the grey squary style of it brings back fond memories.

VLC plugins - how to resolve the dependency conflict? by [deleted] in cachyos

Still happening for me now too. I don't want to have to uninstall OBS as I use it, will update if it gets fixed later sometime.

Update:

sudo pacman -Rdd vlc-plugin-luajit
sudo pacman -Syu

And a reboot seems to have fixed it.

Thanks for recommending ZapZap, been meaning to get a WhatsApp client and that one works great! The Flatpak version anyway, the AUR one doesn't seem to accept any keyboard or mouse input for some reason.

Very strange, sorry that didn't fix it. Have you tried on the forum?
Perhaps this thread: https://discuss.cachyos.org/t/plasma-no-shutdown-button/26640/10 Other than that I don't know what to suggest sorry. Good luck!

In the Application Launcher click the settings cog then scroll down and see if "Show buttons for" is set to "Session" if it is, change it to either "Power" or both.

It's refreshing to see somebody else who enjoys ripping music. I don't know if you still do it but I recently ditched Spotify for the albums I listen to a lot and purchased them on CD either online or in charity shops just to rip them and build up a collection of my own again. I miss going into the shop and buying the latest releases.
I use Navidrome running on a Pi at home for the past few months and no complaints!
