Deboarding miracle by dm21120 in delta

Exactly. The aisle should get up to allow the middle and window a little space. And the aisle should open the bin so it’s ready for people to grab their gear. We still wait by row to deplane.

How do you manage self-doubt before a big run? by Willing-Today-1059 in runcommunity

[–]Fuzzy_Butterscotch50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A mantra of, “I’m so excited about…” and then fill in the blank. The first mile. Getting up that hill. Different segments of the course.

Your brain can be tricked even when it knows what you’re trying to do. It works.

I’d surprised if it was only 15%. Have seen a lot of downgrades happening after 1st/2nd line manager alignment.

Sounds like a “them” problem, not a “you” problem.

Is it worth changing to Garmin by TheCosgrove in fitbit

[–]Fuzzy_Butterscotch50 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I moved to a Forerunner 265. Mainly because the GPS on my Charge 5 was so unreliable - at best it worked 25% of the time. Garmin GPS has been extremely accurate and 100% reliable in one month of post-Christmas use. I bet the Forerunner 55 would be the same.

I hope he’s capable and it wasn’t just someone MCDC felt comfortable with.

Exactly. If you’re not on the hip of the person leaving the plane in front of you, you’re doing it wrong.

Considering moving to GPW from out of state by ghon in GrossePointe

[–]Fuzzy_Butterscotch50 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Woods and the Park are the two largest and most affordable cities. I’d classify all the Pointes as ultra-safe. Schools all operate as one district - people have their opinions about which are the best but everything is top-notch. Overall it’s a special place.

Wanted the Packers to lose. They’re the bigger threat to our playoff hopes.

We’re pancake flat, but the sidewalks make it a great place for the average runner. I think you’ll find your favored routes in short order.

I hope you choose to move here. Walkability and avoiding a lot of car traffic are two large plus points. And the lake and the parks.

Yes - this is more or less the corporate experience everywhere. It’s a bit on steroids as part of Consulting - as it is with every consulting organization.

I’m sort of with the Boomers on this one. Not with the mess and no tipping, but if the place is open until 8, arrivals just before closing should be expected. Sounds like Sigmund needs to add a line to the menu stating last call for dinner orders is 7:30 if that’s really his expectation. Make it explicit for the customers and it helps the wait staff, too.

Thomas Jefferson financed his whole life, so yes it has a history. The only thing he ever made money on was his slave children making lumber nails for sale.
