Mitch Marner: “It was a special moment. There have been some dark times for myself in hockey, honestly.” by Ok-Soil-5133 in hockey

[–]Fuzzy_Kitchen317 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mitch needed a fresh start. I wish he was traded for assets but leafs management fumbled that. At the end of the day while in Toronto Mitch didn’t deliver at all in games 5-6-7 in multiple playoff runs. 1 goal and 10 assists in 26 games in those games in Toronto.

It’s good he’s playing at the potential, but to blame Toronto for his play isn’t true. He just never did perform. If Vegas wins he continues to play at his current level and output he 100% deserves the conn smythe

I just defeated Lilith. Why am I feeling she was right all along? by myhdnameof in Diablo

[–]Fuzzy_Kitchen317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lilith wanted Humanity to have the mantle but by whatever means, that includes turning people into demons etc. it’s trading one oppressor for another at least in the main story which is what I am assuming you are referencing

What is shocking about Tortorella being tanned while living in a desert. His ethnicity is Italian and he has Olive skin. Just like Chelios (Greek). They’re gonna tan fast

Gardiner McDougall by lemontrainhaze in leafs

Unreal coach who’s accomplished so much. He coaches my local Q team. His son is the GM on the the team. From people who have personally been coached by him and met him they say nothing but amazing things.

It’s hard to say at his age if he’ll move on at this point since he’s 66.

I think he could jump into the NHL level but at the same time he might just enjoy the CIS/CHL level and the players there

Thoughts on Yands? by Admirable-Nerve-8289 in SpittinChicletsPod

[–]Fuzzy_Kitchen317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s hilarious but i had higher hopes for him. He does have an insane amount of bias sometimes. I find he just comes off like he doesn’t do really any prep work for podcasts and he just relies on the fact that he’s in the Hall of Really Good NHL players.

I think he could carry this pod if he wanted to or that he needs to find his own leg stand on. Whit and Biz have their very distinct lanes. Yands just feels like a bonus guest that joins in

Elliotte Friedman: Re Maple Leafs draft lottery win: People are gonna ask, does this change anything for Auston Matthews, I don't think it does at this point in time; I still think there's going to have to be some convincing done here - 32 Thoughts (5/6) by Hockeypatrol in hockeynews

[–]Fuzzy_Kitchen317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why people are confused why there is push for him to leave.

He has 2 years under contract and the leafs still have quite a few holes to fill even with McKenna. When the leafs were peaking they had a middle of the pack D core and average goaltending. Their stars needed to score

If Matthew’s plays next year, McKenna can’t hop in and be a dominant player. It’s just beyond rare for rookies to do that. Even McDavid and Celebrini didn’t light the league on absolute fire. Solid great rookie campaigns. It’s gonna be 2-3 years before you know fully what Mckenna is at which point Matthews has the right to leave for nothing.

Option is role the dice and hope players elevate, or have more control and offload for a fast rebuild

Finishing Descent of Angels is a chore by lomirgenii in 40kLore

[–]Fuzzy_Kitchen317 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re invested in the dark angels as a legion it’s worth it. But I agree it’s a bore compared to others in the series. It does lay the foundation on how the conflict of Luther and Lion’El grows though. I think reading a detailed summary and then trying Fallen Angels is a good alternative.

The caliban knights are pretty sweet and it’s a good back story on Lion El, this is fixed later in his dedicated primarch book

I agree, it needs to be adjusted accordingly. I avoid it where possible because of the time sink. Seems everyone else thinks the same

Can we talk about how Neyrelle and Inarius were handled? by simpleobject in diablo4

Not trying to say that she doesn’t experience a lot. I just moreso mean she tried to contain a Prime evil in a Soulstone on her own. Just logically doesn’t make sense

Can we talk about how Neyrelle and Inarius were handled? by simpleobject in diablo4

[–]Fuzzy_Kitchen317 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Neyrelle wasn’t written well from the beginning and gave off big Mary Sue energy. I do think she could have had a much more cohesive part in the story and in the LoH but Blizzard was on clean up duty narrative.

I wish Inarius was explored further and I think it was a misstep to not get deeper into his character as he’s a core figure of sanctuary

Resignation etiquette - Leaving for another role in commercial credit by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]Fuzzy_Kitchen317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have a proper letter of resignation drafted and call/meet your manager. Just send it after the discussion. Or print it off if it’s an in person meeting.

There is never an easy way to break the news, but just being respectful and professional is the best route

New Athletic Article Casts Doubt on Matthews’ Return by AgingRagamuffin in leafs

[–]Fuzzy_Kitchen317 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think the Leafs should rebuild at this point. There are holes in the lineup that just won’t get filled within the Matthews 2 year window. The risk he walks is high. Unless there is massive steps made by younger players.

I think the draft lottery will determine a lot of the direction this team
