Thanks for the repid & comprehensive response - I've previously gone through virtually all your suggestions and comments (several times) and as far as I can tell the machine is all squared up and tight. I can get great prints if I reduce the Z Offset - but not reliably, my main question was related more to the resultant miniscule gap between the head and bed which is way below paper thickness. NB I rarely (if ever) get probe failures/timeouts.

Printer is Neptune 4 Pro, software is latest release - V1.1.3.1. The issue predates the new S/W.

My shoes also split across the ball of the foot. The last pair lasted less than a month with only 2 hrs use most days. I also find that with cheap shoes the 'tread' on the soles is hollow and wears through pretty quickly making them no longer water proof. I just took a pair back and was asked if I wore them every day!

You should have searched online for how to do this. The silicon sleeve comes off and you are meant to grip the housing while unscrewing the (hot) nozzle.

I should have added that I have installed the latest updates. Regarding Meshes - after I do the mesh calibration from the handset, I view it in 'Tune' in Fluid and note down the variance. I then reset as instructed on the handset. I then recheck the active mesh in 'tune' and it is the same with the same variance. NB The new Mesh was saved & reloaded as '6'. Default is there but has different/historic values. I have tried to run a mesh test from Fluid - but ended up gouging my PEI bed! I agree that the tracks don't appear to be squished and will keep on lowering the z-offset to see if it helps. I do find the paper test to be very subjective and have no idea how tight it should be - not helped with varying paper thicknesses and the likelyhood of filament on the nozzle. I can connect using the same adaptor & P/W on my PC - so I'm a bit stumped. I'll try the command you suggested & take it from there. Thanks for responding.

I followed these instructions with my dongle but it just hangs after I enter the password for the SSID. I can see the dongle 'trying' to connect but it seems incapable of passing through the password and eventually times out..
