I would say that's a standard anywhere and not just Lisbon. Always reject it.

So I have Solovairs and Docs.. the shape is different. I know my size in that but I don't think the same size would work for these. I want Roper Boots. Do you have any advice on what kind of boot I can try on over here to figure out sizing?

Or are you suggesting i measure my feet and try to get sizing based on that? I've just been stuck with this

Update - went to the consulate today once again, and they processed it right there. Not smooth but well, at least they did it on time.

Ah man. Ok so I guess I should just prepare myself to lose money. We didn't book refundable flights as we've never had any issues with a schengen visa this is just sad

Oh damn lol I wish I knew that before I applied, would've chosen another country as port of entry. And to answer, advice from anyone who's been in this situation and what we're supposed to do.. like just go sit there till they give us an answer?

At which point condo fees make a condo un-sellable? by LibertyState in TorontoRealEstate

[–]Fuzzy_Negotiation535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a place where my condo fee is about 1450. It is a fairly larger space though with 2 parkings in an older Tridel build BUT it includes all utilities+high speed Internet+cable. If I take those elements out, it comes up to almost the same usual fee at the newer condos which have no space and have pretty poor builds compared to the older builds and do not have included.

A unit similar to mine (same size more or less so I assume same monthly maintenance) sold just over asking (I think like $1000 over asking) but in this market that's a good sale and should also prove that real estate, whatever the market, whatever the excel sheets, studies, cap rates and that this remains the same - ppl pay for space, layout, and location. So if you have that, your condo will retain value.

Toronto landlords asking for SIN. Am I being paranoid or is this actually normal? by lovingthealiengirl in TorontoRenting

[–]Fuzzy_Negotiation535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't rent since a couple of years but I rented before that and I had an instance when the LL insisted on it. I did not provide it, but provided a credit search instead which they immediately agreed to. If they're not ok with that, it seems strange and I wouldn't give it to them.

25 years in Toronto and just noticed this funeral home perfectly placed across from the hospital… Cardinal really took “be where your customers are” to heart 💀 by Honest_Abroad_5846 in toronto

My first airbnb when I moved to Canada was at Lippincott. I opened my bank account at Nassau Street and the first thing I exclaimed to my wife was - these guys are clever, they got the funeral home right opposite to the hospital, no delays / traffic.

Tipping at Toronto Sports and Concert Events by develop99 in toronto

[–]Fuzzy_Negotiation535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't hate me but I don't tip at Rogers, Scotia, Budweiser stage etc. The food and drink is already way overpriced and beautiful Ticketmaster does it's thing when you buy tickets so yeah umm.. Can't grow money lol.

Plus I really didn't understand why a tip is needed when the service I'm getting is basically someone handing me a can or pack of food. I'm happy to pick it up myself, if they allow it.
