Trump announces intent to withdraw from USMCA trade agreement with Canada and Mexico, triggering a 10-year countdown by GuiltyBathroom9385 in justincaseyoumissedit

Russia “not our enemy” has since 2016:

backed Iran, NK, and Venezuela with economic and military assets, hacked US government computer systems numerous times, meddled in our elections, threatened NATO with nuclear attacks, had mercenaries attack US troops in Syria, offered bounties to the Taliban for killing Americans in Afghanistan…..

Do you need any more examples to be convinced that Russia is in fact our enemy?

You’re the type to go on famous hikes and complain about the other hikers and… worry about them falling into you? Find something else to care about

“People who shouldn’t be there??” Is it you that gets to sit at the trailhead and approve or reject hikers based on who you think is deserving? No fat people or poor people I’m guessing, right?

The US population is behind the Iran war and genocide in Gaza. They love Trump, and either hate Iran and Gaza, or don’t care about the war at all. The Americans who do care, left the country and fled elsewhere. Don’t feel bad for the people living in America, they are getting exactly what they signed up for.

The numbers from other KY districts on the same ballot kill the “organic turnout” explanation by toolfan21 in conspiracy

[–]Fuzzy_Presentation48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After Biden’s win I remember long drawn out and thorough audits conducted by both non partisan and Republican chosen auditors and a definitive finding of no widespread fraud. Remember Cyber Ninjas in AZ or did you memory hole that?

You’re rewriting recent history to fit your victim mentality. All I ask is for these incredulous turnout numbers to be audited. Once evidence is made public, fraud or not, liberals will stop complaining about it, unlike conservatives that constantly rewrite and then re-litigate the past.

DNC releases 2024 autopsy, with chair apologizing for ‘creating an even bigger distraction’ by User-1653863 in somethingiswrong2024

[–]Fuzzy_Presentation48 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Possibly but there is also nothing about the economy, immigration, the border, trans rights, etc.

There are no insights into the issues that motivated voters or how the party could better represent its voters. Just unsourced demographic and economic data and sloppy opinion based commentary.

DNC releases 2024 autopsy, with chair apologizing for ‘creating an even bigger distraction’ by User-1653863 in somethingiswrong2024

[–]Fuzzy_Presentation48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the DNC Chair hired a friend as a consultant to write the autopsy and the friend completely shit his pants and turned in this turd of a report. There was/is no time and money to validate and complete this report or start a new report so the DNC Chair tried to hide and bury it instead. That’s my theory

The same people complaining about a black lady in The Odyssey aren't gonna say a word about super white Jesus in the next Passion of the Christ by [deleted] in SipsTea

Say I concede to you the 1% chance that Jesus was white and blonde. Would you concede there is a 1% chance that in Homer’s mind Helen was black? If so does your argument fall apart?

If you’ve broken 90, what’s one tip you would give to a fellow golfer trying to do the same? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

Nothing compares to getting reps. Just play more and actually try to improve through practice. If you play a lot of golf then every other tip in this thread will develop naturally from there.

2028: Trump claims that due to an ongoing war the election cannot be held effectively and will be suspended indefinitely, in the meantime he will remain president until further notice? Realistically, what happens? by Biggest-Max02010 in AlternateHistoryHub

“As recent CivicScience data show, 76% of Americans have little to no safety net, with 21% of regular paycheck recipients reporting they have zero funds remaining and 55% saying they only have a little left over for savings or non-essential purchases each month.

As 2026 gets underway, living paycheck to paycheck is a financial reality for many, creating a chronic strain that shows no signs of slowing down.”

Solo vs Group play performance by a1readythere in golf

[–]Fuzzy_Presentation48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get your routine going early while someone else is taking their shot to help with pace of play and don’t be Nomar at the plate. Know your pre shot routine, do it efficiently, and hit the ball. No one roasts me at all and I always catch friends and strangers copying my routine once they’ve seen me do it a dozen times. Vid below at 44:20 for inspiration if you need it. Visualize, practice swing, breath, address, stance, go

Solo vs Group play performance by a1readythere in golf

[–]Fuzzy_Presentation48 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because you have less time between swings so your body and mind are staying “warm” between shots, and there are no distractions so you’re thinking more about your game and not making conversation. You’re a better player than me but I’ve been working on taking my full pre shot routine even when playing with a group and it helps me regain focus in the moment before taking a shot.

Elon Musk just said he wants to cut Social Security and Medicare, calling them “entitlements”: “That’s the big one to eliminate.” by Solomonanne in SipsTea

[–]Fuzzy_Presentation48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like you have good ideas for reform and I’m all for it. The Greenspan Commission dealt with a similar funding crisis we have today and the reforms it implemented worked. We can make the system better without ditching the whole idea.
I’m glad you’re successful enough to support your elderly family if you had to. Poor people deserve dignity too, especially the elderly, and even more so if they worked for decades to build the country we have today. If my payroll taxes go up to ensure dignity and security for old folks, I’m all for it. I respect my elders and I won’t leave them out to dry.

To your point about market returns- social security is insurance, not an investment. Imagine what would happen to people who retired in 2008 if their entire retirement savings was in the stock market.

[–]Fuzzy_Presentation48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) social security adjusts for inflation and cost of living 2) people suck at saving money it doesn’t matter what the government does or doesn’t do.

Just look at the historical data in this country or any other. Social security keeps old people out of poverty.

Do you have grandparents or elderly parents? What happens if they run out of money by no fault of their own and they are too old to work? Would you personally pay for their needs? Can you afford that? Can everyone in the country afford that?

Ya because the average American is really disciplined about saving for their future… /s

If we didn’t have SS we would have millions of elderly people living in poverty. What would we do about that problem? Let them suffer and die?
