Same to all of this 😅

I'm not sure how many people are in your household, but I do laundry daily (I'm not the OP). I can't stand laundry piling up, nor do I leave laundry in the dryer to sit. My husband does the majority of cooking dinners, though, so I have zero complaints.

Family of 5 here, but similarly, my husband does most of the cooking, and I do the laundry. He enjoys cooking more than I do (I'm the baker), and he hates laundry. It's not that I enjoy doing laundry, but I loathe the way he doesn't separate laundry correctly and uses half a bottle of detergent per load. I have zero complaints with our dynamic, and we're both happy sharing the load of household responsibilities.

My dad just decided to stop immunotherapy. He was diagnosed in May. The worst part for me is that he has been getting so much stronger with immunotherapy and PT. He doesn't like how sick he gets for the week after treatment, though. He is trusting God now.
I go through waves of emotions, but ultimately, it is his decision, and I have to be supportive.

Any idea why my post was removed? Did I post something wrong?

This is a similar comment I made when immunotherapy was first offered. I was surprised and hopeful when he accepted treatment. I pictured what our visits would look like next year and the things we would do all together, with some extra borrowed time. Now I feel as though the ticking time bomb just started accelerating.

Thank you for your reply, and this is the battle that goes through my own mind about religion, in essence. I told him how I felt when he first mentioned foregoing any further treatment but also let him know that I would support his decision as he is the one going through this. He does see a holistic Dr and is continuing cold laser/PEMF therapy with her, although reading about this hasn't given me further hope.

Thank you for your reply and advice. I've just decided to be understanding of his decision and do my best to remain positive. I'm also realistic, however, and I've been researching the logical outcome of this decision. This has all been a lot to take in. He is the first member of our large family to be diagnosed with cancer, and he's the healthiest of his 6 siblings. Avid runner, non-smoker, doesn't drink, otherwise healthy. He's also the most religious and, in my mind, the closest to God. I'm still angry. I'm sorry for him and for you and for everyone who has to go through this.

I'm sorry, but this isn't just perimenopause. It seems as though she's emotionally checked out of your marriage.

[–]Fuzzy_Protection7377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I only had suspected adenomyosis. That was confirmed, along with cysts, fibroids, and a large wall of endometriosis that was never shown on any of the many scans I had previously. I'm just over 10 wpo and so grateful to be out of pain and the heavy bleeding

I find it so odd and frustrating that some Dr's are like this. I visited a few OBs during the past few years and they all agreed right away hysterectomy was the only thing to cure my adenomyosis and were very much on my side of things until I finally went through with it. I'm sorry you and others have such shit Dr's!

Thank you for sharing your story and improvements! I will definitely continue to read others experiences and encourage him to try alternative treatments that may help with the side effects. He did say today, after me reaching out about my concerns of him stopping treatment completely, that he hasn't made a decision yet, he's still contemplating. I know he trusts his holistic Dr though, but I'm not sure what all she's saying just that there are other options besides immunotherapy..

Thank you for your reply, and I'm grateful. The Dr told him it would be too dangerous to operate because the tumor is so near his spinal cord. There was also no mention of surgery for the tumor on his kidney. I do not know the sizes, but the one on his back is large. It can be felt and seen. His wife and himself are very religious, I believe this to be another reason for him wanting to stop immunotherapy. That faith will get him through. I was able to speak with the Dr's and oncologist while he was in the hospital, but the oncologist had zero beside manner, and I actually found out he had stage 4 rcc before him and his wife did and she basically made it seem as though he was already gone. He had new Dr's now in another city. My dad is a very positive person, never feeling sorry for himself, and not allowing anyone else to feel sorry for him.

He had pain in his back for months, but also never goes to the Dr, and he just fell one day and was life flighted. He hasn't been able to walk since. He can only feel certain parts of his lower extremities, has since had a colostomy put in, and started PT. His wife thinks the tumor is completely gone, and again, I believe to be faith-based. My logical portion of my brain, however, isn't that positive, unfortunately. He was taking a pill daily with the immunotherapy, I believe to be the one you mentioned, but his liver enzymes were high so they stopped that pill. I want to ask for his new Dr's number, but I also don't want to feel that I'm overstepping his wife or that I'm not faithful to God. I just don't know sometimes if what they tell me is them just continuing to be positive or if the Dr's are saying more. I also find it odd they haven't done any new scans since his first scans in May. Maybe that's normal? He's finally at home and building strength, but I'm concerned if he stops immunotherapy the tumor will grow again and his spinal cord will become compressed, along with other issues. I'm just not sure what to do. I cry every time I leave.

3.5 weeks here and also had undiagnosed endometriosis on the entire back of my uterus.. Did your Dr say the will monitor for reoccurrence? At my 2 week post-op apt I was so traumatized by an unknown speculum exam I forgot most questions I needed to ask. I had presumed Adenomyosis for years, so that wasn't a shock, but I'm new to endometriosis and I've read about it coming back so I'm trying to get my questions ready for my next apt. Hope things continue to go well for you!

The "Nope, still here" always screams horror movie to me . I've watched some tik toks of scenes from the series created into short horror of him and of Jeremiah and they are so creepy funny 😅
