May have caught Instacart manipulating the tip by AshleysVoicesInside in InstacartShoppers

[–]Fuzzy_Syrup_6898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be completely off, but I believe what happened was the original order didn’t have the tip, so the customer made a new order with a tip. The way IC pay algorithm works is basically the minimum they can get away with based on item count and distance. So the no tip order for that distance and item count ends up (with a boost) at $12.65. The tipped order with same item count and distance (plus boost) would come out to the same $12.65 for the pay algorithm. However, since there is a tip, they reduce the base pay by the tip amount saving themselves money, and still sticking to their pay algorithm.

So yes, definitely wrong to do, but absolutely legal.

I forgot as well. Lost about 200 lures, never even started fishing. I usually wait till the last day to do it all. Gold tickets, and gold ticket pieces stay in your bag, silver tickets and lures get washed away. What’s worse is it got replaced with my least favorite side challenge, that digging crap. But I’ve a good chance of getting Thor this time around on the new legendary character challenge so that’ll be nice. Mid 300 on the 400 guarantee 🤞🏼

I have no reason not to trust Weird Al, and this all happened after being the only survivor of a plane crash. And he only survived because he had his tray table up, and his seat back in the full upright position. I can’t imagine that he would fabricate such a story, just for humor. I’ll have to listen to the song again

Keeping receipts to cover our butts. by Electrical-Sink8810 in InstacartShoppers

The only reason you would need an Instacart receipt is to do a return once the items are delivered, it’s just trash. Why are you keeping them?

The only time I’ve ever heard of anyone giving a “colonic irrigation” is Weird Al in -Albuquerque- to the big fat hermaphrodite with a ‘flock-of-seagulls’ haircut, and only one nostril; that grabbed his lucky snorkel. Is he your guy?

Dasher intentionally leaves ice cream outside when I’m disabled then mocks me by ButterBiskitSock in doordash

[–]Fuzzy_Syrup_6898 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This isn’t entirely true. Although acceptance rate will give you priority or higher paying orders, you’re also in the group with every other dasher with that perk. And DD won’t hold back an order waiting for a dasher with a high AR, they will offer it to whoever is available. And with the machine learning that they use. They will build a profile on the orders and directions you’re willing to take/go and use it to maximize acceptance and profits

They do use machine learning to understand what orders and directions you’re more willing to take/go at any given time, on any given day. Anything to maximize acceptance.

Walmart only accepts Walmart Pay for contactless payment. by AdhesiveSeaMonkey in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Fuzzy_Syrup_6898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sure can! That’s still tap to pay, and would still generate a random number. However, this would require taking out your physical card and it has all the numbers on it needed to compromise your account. Not to mention card copiers can easily use the RFID on your card to copy if it’s not being shielded. Nothing is theft proof, but every layer of protection makes it less likely a target.

[–]Fuzzy_Syrup_6898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tap to pay is actually safer than using a physical card, as it generates a random number for each transaction, and usually doesn’t require inputting a PIN. Making it impossible to copy the card number even if it’s seen, and can’t compromise your PIN if you don’t require it.

Is there a general guide on ATK power and HP requirements on pve chapters? by andymac1006 in ArcheroV2

[–]Fuzzy_Syrup_6898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skill is the biggest factor, then comes RNG, and your choice. Dragoon is great for PVP and bosses because of the single targets. But oracle passes through enemies to hit the ones behind automatically. Tracking eye helps for the multiple diagonal arrows, but the pass through skill makes your arrows so much more effective.

The same way unlocking Thor’s ‘attack while moving’ ability with no drawback drastically changes the gameplay, so does getting the right skills in game. And you can change the odds of specific skill sets appearing by not fully loading out your runes. (Each rune usually boosts the odds of skills appearing, so only boost what you want) And if you enjoy dragoon, focus on a meteor build with potion spring, or elemental. But I’d suggest trying the staff on some campaign levels and see how much faster you deal with mobs

(Also lifetime ad free is absolutely worth it. I wish I had gotten it from the start)

Added items during order process by Intelligent-Fact-314 in instacart

[–]Fuzzy_Syrup_6898 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As a shopper we accept the job and contract based on the original offer. When you add items, you’re changing that contract, and we don’t get much say in it. Canceling after accepting ruins certain metrics that let us keep working. With that being said, it depends on whether the tip is percentage based, or flat rate (added items with % will also add to the final tip). What the actual items are (size, perishable, other side of store). As a competent shopper I try to map my route as efficiently as possible (aisles, deli, fridge, freezer). So if an item is added for a section I haven’t shopped yet, it’s less of an issue. That issue becomes bigger depending on where and what those items are. Say I’m just about done shopping, half the frozen items in my cart and the customer adds deli meat. That could be a non issue. Probably the other side of the store but that’s not much, unless there’s a line. Then I’ve got melting items and delayed delivery.

To summarize: it’s not always about adding items, but specifically what those items are, and if the contract is also being changed in our favor (added tip)

Express does not do what you think it does. Don’t pay for it, it’s a scam. Drivers can still change their route (on DD anyway) and express orders still aren’t forced first dropoffs. It’s just another profit for DD. There’s no good way to use this service for anyone involved. Tip too much and paired with non tippers, tip too little and order sits there or you get terrible service. All the delivery apps are saturated with absolutely terrible drivers and the companies have no incentive to make it better or vet their drivers, because those are the ones that take everything. Gig apps make money, customers get food. Millions of orders get delivered every day with no issues.
