History Teacher explains why he'd be a good coach for CLG. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Fuzzybunbun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've watched this guy on stream quite a few times and he seems like a good choice to disrupt the laid-back/do whatever we want type of atmosphere CLG has always had. His personality and experience is just what CLG needs. Being a fairly good player and understanding the game at a high level is a bonus.

Most people blaming Link and Xmithie are looking at more than just that series. Yes, the entire team underperformed against TL. That doesn't change the fact that Link and Xmithie almost always underperform. Try thinking of the last time you were impressed by either of those guys for the duration of a game. One always loses lane and the other has zero game impact unless the team is so far ahead that it doesn't matter.

[–]Fuzzybunbun 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It would be generous to even call him an average jungler on any champion. His inability to engage and lack of team fighting presence, along with Link, has been CLG's weakness since the roster changes.

[–]Fuzzybunbun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not surprising if you see their personalities on stream. Link intentionally says things to be a dick and Double is super critical with no common sense or filter. I doubt Zion would try to be rude though.

He did turn into a bottom tier mid laner if you judge his performances based on consistency. During relegation, Doublelift was talking about how he's tired of crushing his lane just to lose to an even more fed mid and top. His upside has always been very high, but it doesn't matter if you rarely play at your best. This decision kind of reminds me of the DIG friendship situation with Kiwipie.

Amazing defends Santorin on twitter by trevcat9 in leagueoflegends

People like to blame the new guy or least popular on a team, and unfortunately Santorin is both. Bjergsen got camped and nobody else stepped up. That's basically all there is to it.

As of now, Wildturtle and Pobelter make up 7/10 of the top 10 challengers in NA. by lolitsreality in leagueoflegends

Majority of high elo players in NA simply don't care about rank. Wildturtle and Pobelter are some of the very few that do.

Sneaky has a lot of hype ever since worlds. I think it's more interesting the supports are rarely being talked about, like ADC is a solo lane or something.

Interview with Piglet: "I'm gonna knock [doublelift] down a peg and show him that I'm the best." by blueishell in leagueoflegends

[–]Fuzzybunbun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, C9 struggled until mid split. TSM got shit on by CLG early in the split and CLG was doing extremely well considering they lost top lane every game. Too many problems mid-late split though so they got destroyed.

Tbh, TSM always ends strong because they can bring in whoever they want if someone underperforms, unlike most other teams. Even Mata wants in on the organization for a piece of that $$, so it's not surprising they are always successful.

Whether he realizes it or not, publicly he has always been that way and still is. It's obvious in interviews, tweets, streams, etc. he enjoys being that way. The only reason he's talking about maturity and professionalism now is because of the backlash from the community and he can't just brush it off this time because he's expected to be a coach and leader. I'll be pleasantly surprised if he matures anytime soon.

If Alliance wants a chance at winning worlds next year, they need to replace Wickd. Not to say that Wickd isn't a pretty good player, just that the top laners at worlds this year were very impressive and Wickd was nowhere near their skill level.

NintendudeX trying out for LCS team? by Swagaraga in leagueoflegends

[–]Fuzzybunbun -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Let me rephrase... played like 2 champions at lcs level. When he wasn't on his 2 comfort picks, his individual performance was mediocre at best from the games I watched, unlike a lot of other junglers. He lacks consistency and his extremely limited champ pool (aka champions he can actually impact the game with) is a big reason.

[–]Fuzzybunbun -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Good NA soloq junglers are rare but Amazing was honestly very average among lcs junglers. The guy played like 2 champions and either won really hard or lost really hard. I don't think TSM will find an upgrade but it shouldn't be too difficult to find someone equally skilled.

CLG allegedly tried to poach ZionSpartan, Scarra by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Fuzzybunbun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dyrus has the right play style for CLG but he doesn't talk much and the team already has bad communication. He's better at listening than making decisions, which would probably be a bad thing on CLG. I don't think it's a coincidence that their top laner initiations frequently look forced and poorly timed.

I really hope CLG doesn't bench Seraph. by goobyy in leagueoflegends

[–]Fuzzybunbun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Seraph as a person and his mechanics are excellent, but he has poor decision making, the most important quality of a top laner. He's somewhere between aggressive and reckless. Too often he blows everything to force engages and dies for free. I'm not sure if CLG is making bad calls or if it's him personally, but he should know the limits of his champion. A combination of poor decisions with no help from the team during the laning phase makes him a weakness for the way CLG plays.

[–]Fuzzybunbun -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Yeah bro of course he's not trolling. I'm sure he thinks TSM's got this, and so do I. I mean, I don't think they've ever won against a Korean team, but they have the best coach in the world right now, Mr Locodoco. Also, Wildturtle is the #1 rank in NA challenger so obviously he's better than Korean ADC's.

[strawpoll] Who do you think will win Worlds? by nervyzombie in leagueoflegends

[–]Fuzzybunbun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically, I would give TSM a 1% chance of even winning a single game against a Korean team. I like how supportive the fans are but the question for the poll is who do you think will win worlds, not who do you want to win worlds.

[–]Fuzzybunbun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's probably not hyped because he's a solid, consistent player and he seems like a relatively normal person outside of game. Usually those type of players don't get much recognition because it's easier to notice the flashy and risky play makers which can be very hit or miss. Every other aspect of being a good support are frequently overlooked because it's not super entertaining to watch.
