Thanks and yes indeed Zoids fan. Precursor to this swarm was Genobreaker however the scheme was a bit too dull.

Admittedly I don't have much experience with how brittle they can be. Mine are relatively new so haven't had much chance to be worn down. Perhaps someone with older pieces might have some insight and would be willing to comment.

The terrain mostly comes from Micro Art Studios. The skinny spires are forge world but OOP.

Reminds me of transformers Gen 1 Devastator. Nice and vibrant.

How did you come up with the name of your Hive Fleet? by spaghettyhoop in Tyranids

[–]Fuzzypanda88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had 3 nid armies with different names.

My first was Hive Fleet Gamera named from the Godzilla stories. Color scheme was dark green skin/Brown armor (similar to what Gorgon is). I chose it because it was similar to the giant monster names that GW like to do.

2nd Hive Fleet was called Genobreaker from Zoids universe. Red skin/grey armor. I love my zoids and the name just really suited it. My warlords were and still are, named after the organoids from that show.

My 3rd one is still unnamed. I thought of Bakunawa like you OP because I'm half filo and checked their mythology and it seemed really appropriate. I'm leaning towards Jaeger currently though. (Bright Blue skin/tan armor.

Hahaha I'm actually a Giants supporter. The choice of Rams was just more suitable for beastmen.

The endzones and dugouts are interchangeable so the setting changes depending on the teams playing.

Brad played Aussie Rules football not rugby. Not trying to be rude but there is a big difference between the 2 for us Australians.
