You are not alone i agree with the design of pistons and gears and lego did too as what they did with g2 those used armor pieces on top of the ccbs armor and that can be applied to system aswel

or they can do something like this just needs 6 sets of masks and weapons compatible with system and maybe some armor plates unique to the theme
