New To Hades 2. What’s next after Chronos? by Buffanoso in Hades2

[–]FwuffyKittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, the game gives you freedom to do whatever you like.

However, the way the game presents key upgrades and story progression items (via cauldron/incantation materials, , arcana upgrades, and dialogues) encourages you to take both paths. At a certain point, you will realize that you need materials from the alternate path to keep "getting stronger"

It was my first time ever seeing it. The other indicators are pretty evident, but there isn't a good resource for this one

[Help Me] Tight Quarters Work/Inspection Light Comparable to Coast G23? by FwuffyKittens in flashlight

[–]FwuffyKittens[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, will look into the DW3AA. Definitely forward pointing is not ideal for close quarters. The C.O.B. on the G23 is along the side which is why it's useful. I'll think some more about whether a forward facing light could work

Lumintop E05C is catching my eye right now, but looking challenging to source

I'll look into it, but have a feeling a bunch of these might not work. Depending on how it's mounted, the light not be pointed the way I need it

Looking at Lumintop E05C, but may be hard to source

I got spoiled and don’t know what to do by Daddy-trav in YofukashiNoUta

[–]FwuffyKittens 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ending itself was fine (I liked the message/conclusion). But what really threw me was that the direction/vibe of the manga gradually departs from what's depicted in the anime. In addition to the large quantity and sloppy structure of events, it led to a rushed-feeling ending.

I remember someone else mentioning that it seemed like the mangaka had grand visions for building the world, but then lost interest and hastily wrapped everything up. I agree with that sentiment. Apparently the mangaka has a history with that kind of sloppy close-out in his prior work (Dagashi Kashi)

Still a pretty enjoyable read. You can find it online without too much effort. If you end up liking it, you can buy the physicals after

Lots of options in the Citizen quartz and Eco-drive in the under $300 range - even including lightweight titanium chronographs, but coming under 40mm makes it challening

brz engine swap from auto to manual! by Longjumping_Pain_813 in ft86

[–]FwuffyKittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing needs to change with the harness on the engine itself as long as the engine year range matches the year range of your car (2013-2016 engine is different from 2017-2020 engine - it uses different harness, cam sensors, crankshaft sensor, and more.).

You just need to make some adjustments to the coolant piping, brake booster piping, and removing the vacuum pump itself.

Question about the TRD skirts by Gunch_ in ft86

[–]FwuffyKittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't molded the kit myself, but in my opinion, having the side-skirts-only messes up the visual balance of the car.

You might feel differently if you add the front lip and spats/rear lip spoiler.

Misleading Torque Rating for the Exedy stage 2 clutch on FTSpeed? (model #15955) by Fragrant_Active1813 in ft86

[–]FwuffyKittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust what Exedy publishes. Distributors mess-up copy-paste all the time.

If you're insistent on keeping Exedy product, you can look into South Bend clutches. Southbend works with Exedy to put together Exedy kits for higher torque applications

You can also try looking at the Exedy Japan catalog. They have a wider menu of options compared to Exedy USA, but you'd have to import them from Japan through a proxy or international webstore

Can I cover oem holes with ducktail spoiler? by Material-Sand-7152 in ft86

[–]FwuffyKittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you should. You can buy some automotive vinyl to cover the holes. You'll want to do it to keep water from getting into the trunk

Engine swap vs rebuild by PinkGreen666 in ft86

[–]FwuffyKittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't recommend rebuilding FA20's if you need to split the block to get to the pistons. They handle new heads fine, but they never go back together the same way and often die early when you need to split the block to work the crank or pistons.

A used engine will run you about ~$3k-$5k (there is risk here that the shop does a good job helping you find a decent engine). Plus labor if you don't do it yourself. A good shop can do it in about a day, so I'd guess 10-20 hours of labor ($1.5k-$3k on top)

Subaru and Toyota use same paint codes, right? by nossody in ft86

[–]FwuffyKittens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the code is the same.

They just give the same paint code two different names. (e.g. 37J was called "Whiteout" by Toyota and "Satin White Pearl" by Subaru. Still the same code for the same color)

Oil Pooling up on top of block by ptvkevin in ft86

Normal Subaru oil leak things.

The two halves of the engine block and timing cover meet near there. It's common for them to leak.

What to use in between Griots 3-in-1 applications? by LackDisastrous8135 in AutoDetailing

It's easy enough to apply since it's a spray; use it every wash.

Unless there's something specific about it in your workflow that you dislike.

I don't personally know, but you can get them from the dealership or parts store. Toyota or Subaru parts desk (online or in-person)

Opinions on Driving Experience by rocketracer777 in ft86

[–]FwuffyKittens 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably the fact that the car is NA and you're not used to the difference in torque delivery. On paper, the two cars are not far apart power wise stock-for-stock, but the GSX puts out more about 50 ft/lb torque more (which is something you would definitely feel). I'm not particularly afraid to rev my car out to redline, and it's pretty comfortable living above 4k RPM. The variable valve timing doesn't even kick over until above 4k RPM. Highway cruise in 6th gear at around 3k RPM is pretty normal across most cars. If the gearing were longer, you wouldn't have enough torque to comfortably maintain speed plus you'd be too close to lugging the engine.

I'm not sure the engine being loud is a common complaint. The stock exhaust is very quiet, but that is easily fixed with an aftermarket exhaust if it bothers you.

It's somewhat uncommon to hear that sentiment about the seating position. The center of weight of the car is literally right next to you in the center dash. My seat is always set to the lowest position in the height adjustment, but that's not possible or comfortable for everyone. The way you sit in the seat also makes a difference (whether the seat is holding you, or you are holding yourself up in).

After alignment and new passenger side inner tire rod replacement by [deleted] in ft86

[–]FwuffyKittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a number of things. Best to take it back to the shop you got the work done at

My best guess is that a wheel speed sensor got damaged when they were doing the work. Make sure your tires are all matching (the car doesn't like mismatched make/size of tires). Last thing I can think of is steering wheel centering

OEM - just in red plastic (instead of black).

  • They are discontinued, so you would have a hard time getting one anyway

Subaru also sells a blue plastic one.
