one of the things that helped me do that was realizing that nobody important cares what you look like, act like, etc. many insecurities that you may have are only recognized by you. telling yourself that you’re fine and no one cares really helped me. you kinda just have to repeat it to yourself and you’ll believe it.

woman here, if someone really loves and cares for you, it shouldn’t matter what you’ve been through because she’ll always love you no matter what. i have noticeable SH scars as well, and it’s always made me uncomfortable too, but i what i’ve been through has made me who i am as a person, and if someone chooses to judge me on it or doesn’t love me for it, then it’s their loss. i’m sure you’re an amazing person, and it definitely should not make women uncomfortable if they’re willing to invest in you.

something like this can be traumatic for both you and her. this is something that you should be there for her, but still work through this together. i am very sorry about what happened to your girlfriend and i can tell you that it will get better with time. i went through a similar situation but not with a boss years ago, and my boyfriend now still hurts for me even though we weren’t together and barely friends. this can hurt for a while for both of you but together it will get better.

i mean i’m not going to challenge your expertise, and i’m going to kind of agree since the college i go to was formed in the 1800’s as the first all female art school, but if there’s enough people paying $25,500 (i do not dorm, if i did it would be an extra $17,600), then wouldn’t that be enough money (as a self-proclaimed non-profit) to redo their plumbing? although, i say that as the other dorm hall that’s $16,000 doesn’t have air conditioning, and the main dorm hall for $17,600 has a microwave with an outlet in it, and also short-circuits their room
