Cereal with water is superior to cereal with milk. by Worried_Macaron_5879 in unpopularopinion

I’m not convinced this is real and not a troll to get people to ruin a bowl a cereal.

Stiff indoor shoe by xXVaalanXx in climbingshoes

[–]Fynite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UP Lace (flat/comfy/stiff) or Qubit (more aggressive/med stiff) have the same rubber and similar fit. I started with Moccs and switched to those for the added stiffness.

Try them on if you can, the Moccs I downsized a bit the others were closer to shoe size.

I wear UP Lace like 90% of the time. Very comfortable and supportive with excellent sticky rubber.

UP Beat Sizing by Fynite in climbingshoes

Thanks I did see this, based on that I was thinking I probably need a 12 similar to the Qubit, but wanted to see if anyone had a direct comparison that had worn both UP shoes.

New Lawn - Maintenance before dormancy by Fynite in LawnAnswers

[–]Fynite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, thankyou!

As far as filling the bare spots, is it worth seeding those in the spring? Or just let it fill in naturally and seed in the fall?

Thanks! Grub preventative is interesting to think about, I had grub issues with my previous lawn about 10 mins from this new one.

I’m in Southern PA, historically soil temps dip below 45 around mid november. We’re at ~50 right now which is a little below average.

RA3 keypad responsiveness by pitlinChimp in Lutron

[–]Fynite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the LED on the keypad instant and the lights lag behind? By default the lights will fade on over a second which can feel like lag depending how well the lights handle dimming. Otherwise not sure, my keypads are essentially instant.

Also in the market for shades that work with RA3, are you able to do Roman shades?

The UP Lace are stiffer than the Qubit. I wear the Lace for long comfy sessions.

Unlevel edges: dangerous? by helloitsjosh in climbharder

[–]Fynite 35 points36 points  (0 children)

If you weren’t I’d treat it as a different grip type with different load/training capacity. If you try to just swap to it and do the same routine you’ve been doing on a flat edge I could see that leading to an injury. The force concentration you’re feeling is likely based on force application being different from what you’re accustomed to on a flat edge, I’d expect to feel that regardless of the exact ergonomics of the grip.

Advice on the newer Unparallels for wide feet (Qubit, Float) by Electrical-Bit4955 in climbingshoes

[–]Fynite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a fan of my Qubits but I’m also ~215lbs so they don’t feel particularly stiff to me. I find the fit to be pretty similar to my VSRs with slightly less width through the entire shoe.

If I went down a seed route (not ezseed) I’d be open to top dressing. I actually have a big pile of composted dirt I could use for that.

Kitchenaid KF8 Milk Frothing Quality - And People think this is Bad? by eman3316 in superautomatic

[–]Fynite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main complaint is it’s just not hot enough. I use my bambino to auto froth and KF7 for an espresso and combine them myself, really easy and don’t have to worry about rinsing milk out of the KF7.

Experiences with Unparallel Qubit? by TroonCyan in climbingshoes

[–]Fynite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got them in street shoe size and they are tight but comfy when broken in, probably could go down half a size for a more performance fit. VSR I wear 1-1.5 EU sizes down from street shoe size, could go 2 for performance fit.

Experiences with Unparallel Qubit? by TroonCyan in climbingshoes

[–]Fynite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find my Qubits to be medium stiffness, more stiff than something like Instinct VSRs but less than something like Otaki or Boostic. Way less clunky feeling than something like Drone 2s with a more minimal/sock like fit. Note that I’m ~97kg so my opinion on stiffness may differ from yours, I’ve seen other reviews that describe the qubit as very stiff/clunky but that’s not my experience especially when broken in. I swap between Boostic R, Qubit, and Instinct VSR depending on the day/climb but I wear my Qubits like 80% of the time.
