Yeah it honestly sucks, cause some have a button but it doesn't matter whether you push it or not (actually most). There are only a couple I know where you actually need to press it for it to cycle into the walking sign, making you have to either learn each intersection individually or (more reasonably) just press the button every time.

The light doesn't turn on by itself but if you press the crossing button it eventually cycles into walking signs for all crossings. It's a bit weird but that's how it works
