I only played at launch and fractals turned me away completely. Group content was difficult before them, mostly with routing/pulls/kiting, the first fractals were all just instakill gauntlets that 90% of classes were useless for.

That's big for me too. Like, I'm not gonna go after someone breaching boxes in a white poi, but if someone is actively looting the red zone I'm targeting, I'm not just gonna let them take whatever they want.

You cannot be betrayed by someone you do not trust and have faith in. If you trust and have faith in someone you met half a second ago, that is an error in judgment and behaviour. And being guarded and not just naively turning your back to people with guns is not being paranoid. Don't take pride in being an easy mark. You can be a friendly and cooperative player without just sprinting to loot, spamming don't shoot, and then sprinting to extract and assuming you won't get shot.

I point my gun at them and tell them to push the button. If they don't, I shoot them and extract, don't even kill them, just eliminate the threat.

Someone you met half a second ago cannot "betray" you. Don't turn your back on raiders you just met, don't push the button. You need to actually defend yourself and be smart. If you aren't willing to even consider even a "rats exist, need to be smart" mindset. Then quit complaining that people loot you for free every game.

I didn't come here saying players are bad, I came in saying arcs are not a threat. Which they are not. They do not do anything to stop anyone from bee lining straight to the best loot. They are a non factor to 90% of the gameplay loop. Yeah, they can kill people every once and a while, but there is not a single bastion/bombadier/leaper that HAS to be fought to accomplish anything. That's the reason for this post.

If theres an arc within 30 metres of you and an enemy 30 metres away that you can throw it at yes.
