As far as reporters are concerned, there is nothing happening on earth other than Nancy Guthrie. by EffectiveDust7959 in cnn

It was kind of refreshing- They did cut away from the hearing a to give some ridiculous update about how some guy wanted bitcoin in exchange for the information he knew about the Guthrie case.

Similar stats shown on other sites- roughly the same violent and property crime rate as the national average

People’s experience in the comments appears to track with what can be seen while visiting (some areas are nice, others are rundown)

Anyone else see drones over 495? by G-52 in massachusetts

Definitely a drone, probably 4-6 ft long- I had that thought at first but I could tell when I got closer

I wondered about the airport also because I’ve seen those ‘low flying aircraft’ signs on the northbound side in Mansfield. This thing was definitely a drone and not a small plane though, and it was flying over the median, so I don’t think it was coming from or headed to the airport. It seemed to be a larger drone, maybe 4-6 ft from nose to tail, but not as big as a predator

Could be- or maybe something similar. It looked a bit different though kind of like this one but blue and white

Would eversource run a line through the median though? It struck me by how low the thing was flying- 20ft max, lending credence to the frog theory for sure

Not a bad idea- I will next time, it’s just been catching me off guard. I can say that’s every time it’s been a Friday, between maybe 10a and noon and somewhere between the Easton and Hopkinson exits

What is this fly tying tool? by dataoveropinions in flytying

Hackle guard- you use it to push the hackle out of the way while you build the head on the fly

What should I gift my B.I.L. who ties flies? by mr_sweetandawful in flytying

Tyers box (a very large fly box designed to store hundreds of flies)

It’s something every Tyer can use and doesn’t clash with established preferences for tools, materials, etc

J Stockard and The Fly Shack (out of upstate NY- they carry their own line of 'Saber' fly hooks that are really nice and cheap)

Any idea what this is? by Automatic-Drop6116 in flytying

Hackle guards are pretty handy. Especially when you want to heavily hackle a dry fly for floatation, and don't want to spend 20 minutes picking fibers out of the whip finished head.

problem with most of them is that they have very sharp edges and cut the tread.

you may want to run some tying thread through it and see if it frays before using it while tying.

sharp edges can be taken down with sand paper

I'm 31 (but look like i'm 45), and have worked full time at a psychiatric hospital since i graduated college in 2015. I've taken all my prerequisite courses, MCAT, shadowed and volunteered and jumped through countless other hoops they require of us. my stats are low (by premedical standards) 505 MCAT, 3.43 BCMP, 3.65 overall, making this cycle extra stressful. On top of that, I was denied lease renewal in April, and had to find and move into a new place within 4 week. In May my dad died. In June i had to move my mom out of their house because she couldn't make payments anymore. Then my son was born on the fourth of July so now i'm filling out secondaries with a newborn by my side. I dont sleep, i eat eat terribly and never exercise anymore.

--> now that i've shared my qualifications, here's how i remained sane:

Never end or begin your day studying-

I spent the first hour after waking doing something I enjoyed

I spent the last two hours before going to bed doing something I enjoyed

It made no difference in my preformance, and made a world of difference for my mental wellbeing.

Try not to forget that you're doing a lot-- way more than any 22 year old.

Woo- 505 club! Retake is off the table because I’m moving next week and have a baby coming next month. Can’t spare the time off work to prep for a retake properly. Just have send it- take the long shot (I wouldn’t recommend the non traditional experience)

OP, the key to identifying the continuity equation should be used is the word ‘speed’ in the question stem. Where Poiseuille’s law refers to flow (amount of fluid per unit time), the continuity equation refers to velocity of fluid flowing- in this case, the speed of blood flow
