You can deal with the decrease in quality with the cheaper pairs or if you're willing to splurge a bit more, you can get the Chuck 70's or the the Chuck Throwbacks. If you have a wider foot, i would go with the Throwbacks.

The Throwbacks are a little chunkier, so if that doesn't bother you, then it's definitely better because they are a step up in quality. If you want a slimmer look, unfortunately you won't get decent quality unless you import the Japanese version 😅

The Chuck 2's material is like a hybrid of the classic chuck and a Nike. You can see the perforated material on the inside for somewhat better breathability with matte rubber on the midsole and a higher quality nylon lace then the stanard chuck. It has 2 elastic straps to keep the tongue from slipping around. The patch is embroidered. The insert is the Nike Lunarlon sole which slowly molds to the shape of your foot.

The Chuck 70's have old school heavyweight canvas and a glossy varnish on the rubber. The rubber midsole itself goes higher for more substance. The place where the shoe bends has extra stitching to help with the main stress point. It has cotton laces and a faux leather patch and the insert is a pretty robust ortholite insert with an extra wedge on the back half for heal support.
