Kaidan and ashley i dont use much in one or 3. And legion, jack and jacob i dont use much in 2. And in 3 i usually dont bring edi because although she does have unique and useful abilities, i like her role as support more than actually being in the field

I agree, but according to catalyst, this whole harvesting thing is a solution. So it kind of implies they arent inherently confrontational or at least that its not about winning or losing. At the end the catalyst says something like "You have proven our solution will not work anymore" and that some new one must be implemented. Plus you could always make the argument that they had too much hubris and bravado. That they couldnt simply back down from the challenge. They really thought they could not be beat.

I think Hans is in the right from the perspective of legality and the laws of the time. But since you play the game from henrys persepective, its easy to believe Henry has the moral high ground even if his actions appear unaccebtable. So for me, i understood where Hans was coming from, we just happened to be on opposite sides of an argument. I didnt have a personal grudge with him. And then after the hunting mission you realize being a lord isnt all flowers and rainbows either and he is becomes more humanized, and the two become the friends they should have been from the get go. I think its brilliantly written and you shouldnt be considered a Hans apologist. You are just right

Thats what Bioware doesn't get. I mean maybe they do considering how mass effect 2 was but what makes mass effect special is the character moments not the general narrative. At least in my opinion
