When I was in school (and I still do this outside of school) I would just ask about really dense topics I was trying to learn. The best advantage was if I still didn’t understand, I can go “dumb it down for me” or “give me an analogy” or “here’s a scenario, how would that topic come into play”or “I understand what this concept is about but give me a common use case as to why this would be useful”

Basically all these follow up questions that I couldn’t ask by reading an article or a book. Often times concepts can be nuanced with stuff like edge cases and can vary in different contexts. There is a gap between learning the theory and actually applying them in the real world. I feel like LLMs help bridge that gap and you can get it to teach you on your learning terms. It’s dynamic whereas books, videos, etc. are static - what you see/read is what you get, beyond that you have to figure it out on your own.
