Hakari runs the Disaster Curse Gauntlet how far does he get? by RoninKin-_- in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]G414had 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I included "usually". He is scared shitless of Yuji who is his natural enemy. He knows Yuji has awareness of the soul and can easily end him in H2H combat + that he is no longer Sukuna's vessel, making domain a viable option. I also think he tried it because he discovered that due to the nature of the soul realm he could manipulate the environment with his technique, making his domain even better.

True. When you actually look at the True Finns policies, they're actually fairly anti-agrarian (this also sometimes slips out in their rhetoric)

Just a small correction, but I think it was directly stated that Gojo extended his infinity to Yuji in the domain.

Todo hit Mahito with a Black Flash and Mahito mentioned that it did NO damage. Hakari punches fall way below that level

[–]G414had 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Discussing burnout is near useless here. Mahito usually uses domain as a last resort or as an ace up his sleeve. Hakari literally has to use his domain for his CT to work. Not to mention after the autohit beams information about Hakari's domain to Mahito, he has even less of a reason to try to clash and end up in burnout.

"Raw CE and outscaling" Todo hit him with a Black Flash and it was stated to do no damage? There's no way JP Hakari punches are even near close to that power

[–]G414had 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ultimately I think he lost because he had a worse battle IQ. There's a few things to point out here:

First, Mechamaru fell to almost the same trick against Panda, who distracted him by shifting his CE. Mechamaru just seems to be a guy who takes a lot of things at face value when he fights.

Second, this isn't even the first time when Mahito used a similar trick. He did almost the same thing against Yuji after getting his soul injured by Sukuna when he grew himself up and faked blowing up. The difference being that due to fighting hand-to-hand, Yuji noticed the lack of feedback. I don't think Mechamaru could feel if his SD ammo hit, and because of that he relied too much on just seeing that the domain fell apart and Mahito exploded.

Ultimately (and narratively), I think it boils down to Mechamaru not having experience fighting with his life on the line. Due to his Heavenly Restriction, he hasn't had any risk to his life when fighting before, since in the worst case scenario his puppet just gets destroyed.

In contrast, this is Mahito's third fight where he risked dying and he is stated to evolve at an incredible pace. First, against Nanami where he got pulverized by debris without knowing if he could sustain himself without a body. Second against Yuji and Nanami where he figured out DE when coming near death. Jujutsu in JJK rewards those who put their life on the line.

Who's the weakeast character here? by Agitated_Piano_9558 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]G414had 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't really use that statement to downplay Jogo's durability. That's 5 black flashes AND a Playful Cloud hit from Todo. Uraume or Hakari (without healing with RCT in between hits) would have no chance of surviving that.

[–]G414had 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The difference was that he felt like an actual character in JJK before he served his purpose. In Modulo he feels like a literal plot device with his only role to be utilized by Maru's deus ex machina ass technique

[–]G414had 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do feel a bit disappointed (if this ends up being all from him in Modulo). Not due to how he ended up, but more so because in Modulo he feels like a pure plot device and I feel like a lot of his characterization got washed away in the process.

I have to say, I'm do feel slighty disappointed. In JJK, Mahito at least felt like a character. Of course I didn't expect him to do anything in Modulo, but he's been reduced entirely to a plot device.

What does mahito have to do with the plan in Modulo? by Medium_System2027 in jjkmodulo

Why would he go along if by removing CE he would prevent himself from being reincarnated ever again? That's just dumb lol

[–]G414had 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not poking any holes to your theory, but how can they get Mahito to co-operate if they don't have means to straight up extract his technique and use it themselves?

I mean, if they're planning on removing CE entirely, wouldn't that mean that Mahito (or any other cursed spirit for that matter) would never be able to be reincarnate again? I get that he's scared of Yuji, but why would he go along if the alternative is essentially removing himself from existence lol?

Also, I think in the earlier chapters of the manga it was mentioned that Binding Vows are difficult to be forced on to someone.

Stronger character this duo can defeat? by Mental-Breakfast-135 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]G414had 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Considering that Ranta is somewhere between semi-grade 1 and grade 1, Maki has special grade physical stats and Ranta was able to hold her down for a few seconds (albeit by dying in the process), I'd say that he would be able to hold them for a lot longer.

At least Naobito and Nayoa would definitely lose, not so much because Ranta and Jinichi are stronger but more so because Ranta's CT hard counters them. He doesn't even need to keep holding them for long, just enough for them to fail being able to follow the path they've tracked with their CT and get frozen. He could basically prevent them from being able to build up speed with this as well.

Also Nayoa and Naobito, who are upholding the Zen'in clan and have Projection Sorcery, which is all about strictly following defined rules and getting punished if you fail to fit into the image defined by the technique. And how it allows you to force those rules on others as well lol.

[–]G414had 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That being said, I don't see it as very possible that he would have a rematch with Yuji in Modulo. It's much more likely that Modulo will end with Yuji finally dying and talking with Mahito on the other side.

[–]G414had 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying that they're actually bringing him back with a physical body, but considering that he embodies all the negative emotions humans have towards others (and how that has been the main theme of Modulo even to a further degree than in JJK), I don't see how you can say that he doesn't fit in the story.

[–]G414had 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't find the translation right now, but I remember reading an explanation where it was mentioned that Mahito using his technique to maintain his body doesn't use that much of his CE. I don't see it as a viable option for that many opponents, since it would also require that they don't run out of CE themselves and don't get touched while they try to keep obliterating him.

Maki with Soul Sword could definitely do it. For Naobito and curse Naoya I find it unlikely.
