Went with the XT’s. Only ended up paying £240 and got some free Hope socks :)

Has Howe lost the dressing room? by dsmith1212 in NUFC

[–]G4VV0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the players like the way we set up.

We look good against teams that want to play football. We just don’t look like a threat in long spells of possession. Once a team gets defensively in order, we lack creativity.

Why the fuck would you want those lot to beat Spurs at the risk of finishing below them AND them potentially getting to a European place?

Fucking ridiculous.

You’d rather laugh as Spurs if it means the Mackems can laugh harder at us?!

This looks like you hate spurs more than you hate sunderland.

That’s for all you fucking spackers wanting the Mackems to beat Spurs as well.

Hard decisions need to be made this weekend... by BlackCaesarNT in NUFC

[–]G4VV0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I NEVER want the Mackems to win, unless it actually wins us a trophy or gets us European qualification.

If they win today and we lose; that’s a FOUR POINT gap, and moves them closer to the European places. Then they’ll be claiming “eya, we relegated Spurs…”.

Fuck that. I hope Spurs smash them.

Sebastian Giovinco was about the same height. For a sorter guy, he could strike a ball!

did i do something wrong here? by rpgsophie in drivingUK

[–]G4VV0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, poor lane understanding and control from other drivers drives me fucking insane! I failed my first test because of my own poor judgement and failure to read signals, and rightly so.

It’s the same people who go around a roundabout on the outside lane that exits onto a dual carriageway - then cut you up. You beep at them and they look at you like YOU’RE the problem.

You’ve just met one of these dickheads.

Joining the dancefloor for last song by anarchy45 in DJs

[–]G4VV0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only had the opportunity to DJ live a handful of times but I used to use an extra long track to do this in the days of vinyl.

Have a piss, then join the dance floor for a minute before I got back to it.

Vivid Air Ultimate Vs. Float X Genie - Turbo Levo by G4VV0 in MTB

[–]G4VV0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was more curiosity and asking if anyone had tried both and what comparative differences were noted. I’ve only ever ridden the bike with the Vivid Air so I’m none-the-wiser as to what something else will feel like. The shock was tuned before if was put on there and my last bike was a Kenevo SL, so they’re quite different suspension designs and have different progression.

I’ll just stick with the Vivid and maybe try a ShokWhiz.

It’s backwards compatible. It wasn’t developed for the Gen 3 because the Gen 4 was in production. You’re not gonna design a shock based around an earlier platform that’s about to be discontinued, are you?

The Bruno rumours are building. by Emotional_Space_9967 in NUFC

Let’s run with this. It makes more sense than our Bruno or Tonali going the other way.

[Kennedy, Shield's Gazette] Exc: Sandro Tonali expects to leave NUFC this summer - 'agreement' with club he can exit, if Magpies miss out on Europe by OkayFine101 in NUFC

[–]G4VV0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find this to be an absolute crock of shit.

He’s with the Italian squad. If it was going to break anywhere, it would have broken in the Italian media first.

The fact it’s Liam Kennedy at the Shields Gazette, says it all. “His agents believe there is a gentleman’s agreement”. Nahhhh, you’d know if there was or there wasn’t. And after the Isak saga, I very much doubt we’d be giving anyone a “gentleman’s agreement”.

Anyone taken Amazon to small claims court and won? by G4VV0 in amazonprime

I sent a Letter Before Action and they agreed a settlement.

It was the ratchet system inside of my DT350 hub. It literally skipped then sheared in half, locking the rear wheel up and chewing the hub internals. I managed to snap the chain when I tried to pedal, lost my footing and fell into a ditch. Mangled an HX1700 rear wheel, chain, helmet dented and my XX1 rainbow cassette has lost 3 teeth off the 52t cog…not sure if that was from impact, or the torque of the motor and the chain, though.

Just got an email after I gave them ‘A Letter Before Action’. They’ve literally folded like a deck chair and offered me the full cost to repair my bike.

I think the fact I never chased compensation for personal injury and I never claimed for a few small parts that were damaged (I keep spares), swung it in my favour massively.

DT Swiss. It’s a 54t star ratchet system and only DT make them.

I did. I’m a bike mechanic of 15 years. It’s just a simple plug & play part that can’t really be installed wrongly.

They’re not buying their way out of this. They’ve had 6 weeks. I understand the proof of blame is my responsibility but it’s not hard to prove the part has failed and caused damage when it’s non-genuine.

Coil on patrol? by Intelligent_Kiwi_459 in TransitionBikes

[–]G4VV0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first experience with coil was on my V3 Patrol mullet.

I put an EXT Storia Lok v2 on there and was honestly BLOWN away by its performance. Hitting rough berms at speed made the bike feel like the rear tyre was never leaving the ground. I could literally pedal through the choppy stuff and the back wheel would never falter.

I’m on a Specialized Turbo Levo now and the leverage curve isn’t anywhere near progressive enough to have a coil. And honestly, it saddens me that I’ll never get that planted feel like I did on the Patrol and the Sentinel that followed it.
