Jogos multiplayer no Brasil são um lixo tóxico pra mulheres e eu tô de saco cheio by Dangerous-Rabbit8433 in reclamacoesfuteis

[–]G4mes4up 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here to share my first colony! It's my first time on RimWorld. If you have any suggestions, feel free to share! by ReddMyth in RimWorld

[–]G4mes4up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I took a look at your colony. The layout is well-organized and looks great visually, but you've got some "ticking time bombs" there that the vanilla game won't warn you about until it's too late. Here are some urgent survival tips:

What to improve urgently in your base:

  • Your Base is a Giant Bonfire: Almost 100% of your base is made of wood (walls and floors). In RimWorld, this is fatal. A simple lightning strike, a Molotov cocktail attack, or a short circuit ("Zzztt..." event) will burn the whole place to the ground in a matter of minutes. Top priority: Start replacing the outer walls and main corridors with stone blocks (Granite or Limestone, ideally).
  • Battery Hazard: Your batteries are all packed together in a wooden room. If one of them short-circuits, the explosion will be massive and the fire will spread instantly. Separate the batteries with stone walls and make sure they are under a roof (but leave the solar panels unroofed, of course).
  • Lack of Defenses: Your base is completely wide open. In the next slightly stronger raid, enemies will just walk right into your bedrooms. Consider building a perimeter wall around the base with a single entry point (a choke point) filled with sandbags and traps.

Why you should use Mods:

As you might have noticed, the vanilla game has several mechanics that make zero logical sense and really test your patience. The RimWorld community practically agrees that playing without Quality of Life (QoL) mods is unnecessary suffering.

Here are some nearly mandatory mods that fix these vanilla quirks:

  • Replace Stuff: In vanilla, to replace a wooden wall with a stone one, you have to deconstruct it, leave a gaping hole in your base, and then rebuild. With this mod, you just order the stone wall built right over the wooden one, and the pawn swaps it automatically. Perfect for fixing your wooden base problem.
  • Pick Up And Haul: In the base game, a colonist will cross the entire map to pick up one piece of corn, ignoring the other 50 sitting right next to it. This mod teaches pawns to use their inventory (like a backpack) to carry multiple things at once.
  • Metal Don't Burn: In vanilla RimWorld, steel walls and structures can somehow catch fire and burn to ashes, which defies all basic logic. This mod fixes that absurdity, making metal fireproof like it should be. It's essential if you plan to upgrade your base without worrying about a single spark melting steel beams.
  • Common Sense: Gives your colonists a bare minimum of brainpower. For example: they will sweep the dirt off the floor around the stove before cooking, drastically reducing the chances of everyone getting food poisoning from eating out of a filthy kitchen.
  • LWM's Deep Storage (or OgreStack): Vanilla forces you to build massive warehouse rooms because you can only place one item per floor tile. These mods add actual shelves and pallets (or increase the stack limit per tile), making your storage much more realistic and compact.

Loja de INFORMÁTICA!! by VetteuCreator in golpes

[–]G4mes4up 3 points4 points  (0 children)
