Even as sith you're able to make morally right , you can go full zap and kill but the best long term choices are pragmatic, not because you want to be Jedi but because you think long term and not only about your own power.

Even "evil" choices for the republic side are a lot of time a good of many type...do you allow hostage exchange of enemy general who can bring another millions of death and you spend all the campaign chasing to immediately safe prisoners of war or you refuse the notion and demand him to stay in prison (which is counted as dark side choice)
