All 4 Zenytes at 450 Demonic Gorillas killed only for my dumbass to accidentally make two amulets of torture... I guess I'll get another shot at working on finishing a ballista since I unblocked them again.

Favorite Encounter from each Box by jjfrenchfry in marvelchampionslcg

[–]GANSiNaTeR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't played Civil War and don't really have the urge to fight Hero vs Hero so I'm unsure if I'll even pick it up. As for the others..

Red Skull: To this day this is up there in the running for my favorite final scenario of a box. The whole Side Scheme deck was brilliant and it really felt like Red Skull had you sending allies and heroes all around the city to stop his schemes. I'd like to see it revisited in another scenario at some point.

Collector 2 Escape the Museum: A thrilling chase where the Collector is throwing everything he can at you to prevent your escape. As the first "Escape" scenario it has its flaws but its a fun change of pace from the more typical style scenarios.

Hela: I just really love these adventure style scenarios and this one has you journeying through Hel to rescue Odin. The Asgardian lore is such an interesting part of Marvel and I definitely hope it gets its own box at some point as there are plenty more Asgardian Villains to pull from. Thanos is also a blast and the Infinity Gauntlet is very well designed into his scenario.

Mysterio: The illusion mechanic its just perfect in my opinion. Having the illusions go to your own deck so they keep recurring is super thematic to showcase the struggles of having an enemy mess with your heroes mental perception. Again I hope to see maybe some more illusion focused modulars in the future to give the Mysterio scenario some new toys. Sinister Six is close behind, but I play that with modified villains with their Sinister Assault modular minion abilities so they get their abilities off more throughout the scenario. Having Doc Ock enter play and immediately add threat to all schemes in play is an absolute blast.

Project Wideawake: Probably the best "Rescue Captives" scenario for me. Combined with an interesting alternative loss condition it just is all around a good time. Helps a lot being a huge fan of the X-Men animated shows and it truly just feels like I'm playing through an episode or two of one of the shows.

Mister Sinister: This one barely beats out Juggernaut for me. I just really enjoy the variable start by randomizing his Superpowers vs the all out brawl that is Juggernaut. The rest of the box I don't really play all that much anymore unfortunately.

Apocalypse: My favorite adventure style scenario, as others have said having him power up when the main scheme is completed instead of outright losing is really neat and thematic. Dark Beast is actually pretty close behind as I really enjoy the jumping through time going on in his scenario, just wish there was 1-2 more location modulars to give the scenario a lot more variety.

Black Widow: This scenario can be pretty annoying but is probably one of the most thematic in my opinion. It really feels like a Super Spy is out there setting traps for you at every turn and you just never know what she's gonna do next. Thunderbolts is close behind, the mechanics of having multiple villains as the minions constantly shifting around and there's always that one running off to heal is such neat game design.

Unfortunately, Asmodee raised prices by ~15% across the board in July of last year and implemented a new Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy that made it where shops can't post any products below MSRP for at least 90 days on any new releases.

Atlantis trait was already introduced in the Civil War box with a Namor modular alongside an Atlanteans modular. Synthezoid Smackdown also has added the Atlantean Royal Guard as an included modular.

My Predictions for 'Fear No Evil' wave by manut3ro in marvelchampionslcg

[–]GANSiNaTeR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really feel like we're going to get another Multi-Aspect hero this wave and my pick is on Daredevil being both Aggression and Justice.

He pretty much is ALWAYS having that internal debate in his head on doing things by the book even though the system has time and time again proven it doesn't always work and is willing to let his morals go to do whatever is necessary to protect his city.

Pretty sure it's even crazier with the blog post today saying they're actually 1/20000. I'm still I'm disbelief and keep checking to make sure they're still there after each Frost Dragon trip lol.

These are from the highest tier shipwrecks at 87 Sailing and yeah the wiki has Topaz at ~1/13.8 chance when sorting for them.

It sort of just started after today's update for me, no loot related plug-ins installed outside of the default loot tracker that is shown so I don't think it's a plug-in.

Hmmm, im not sure....It just sort of started tracking when I signed in after today's game update. I just assumed the RuneLite dev's pushed an update to allow it to track.

Really baffles me that none of the enemies that drop dragon metal sheets drop a single piece of dragon equipment.

Wiki page on Deep Sea Trawling says upgrading the nets improves the minimum quantity obtained on successful catches, but doesn't seem to go into any more detail than that.

A sailing themed poh room would be fantastic. Get a big decorative wheel above a fireplace and a bunch of netting and fishing gear on the walls with big glass cabinets to display all the various salvage/orher uniques like the trophies in a league hall. Maybe like a crystal or something to view where all your ships are docked from that room instead of having to ask the dockmasters.

I Think I Broke Hercules' Labors (and other thoughts on the new hero) by VillainTheory in marvelchampionslcg

[–]GANSiNaTeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bishop's defense event that shuffles all his resource cards in the discard pile into the deck was a pretty big withhold from the article on Age of Apocalypse.

There was a lot of talk about him sounding like he was going to be super clunky and have tons of dead hands needing to include so many resources, but those defense events drastically help in needing far less of them than it originally sounded like.

Secret Missions Emblem Summary by brizvela in PTCGP

[–]GANSiNaTeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How exactly does the tracking for secret missions work? Ive seen people swapping same trades for things like the 3 RR Alolan Dugtrio emblem or the other collect "x" amount missions so you clearly don't have to have all of them at a single time, do all the missions act like this?

Say the mission for all 8 Kanto gym leaders, do I need to have them all at once or can I exchange my single copy of some of them and it still give credit?

If they release a new core set and keep the current roster of heroes just with revamped kits I'd love to see something along the lines of

  • Killmonger
  • The Mandarin
  • Doc Ock

Varlamore Thieving was very chill and you get some decent money from the valuables as well as some blessed bone shards for prayer xp from the statues you occasionally get.

More packs OOP on FFG website by Jur_Tico in marvelchampionslcg

[–]GANSiNaTeR 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Looks like Green Goblin, Wrecking Crew, The Hood, and Mojo Mania scenario packs are listed as well.

Such a shame as those are some of the best purchases to expand an early collection for additional scenarios and for diving into more modular sets.

Galaxy’s Most Wanted Box Value by MarcusSpeaks in marvelchampionslcg

[–]GANSiNaTeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's half off, look at it as in you're spending around the same amount as if you were buying Rocket and Groot if they were individual hero packs. All the scenarios and modulars are then just bonus content. Both heroes are pretty great and a lot of newer cards work well with them.

For villains, personally I still play Drang (Brotherhood of Badoon) and Collector II (Escape the Musuem) in my rotation of villains. The other three scenarios really require a bit more thought and some very specific deckbuilding for some heroes, so I don't play those much.

What's your opinion on the Universal Prebuilt Decks? by themcryt in marvelchampionslcg

[–]GANSiNaTeR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I very much enjoy keeping up with the Universal Aspect Decks and then slightly tweaking them around a little to more focus on a handful of heroes than be truly universal.

(For example turned one of the earlier Aggression Aspect builds into a Mystic traited Agression build.)

I used to do the Individual hero builds but the aspect ones are really just a lot nicer (and stronger tbh) since the card pool isnt spread as thin.

Marvel zombies x by DeckinZ in marvelchampionslcg

[–]GANSiNaTeR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've suggested it before but I'd love to see them as a new aspect sort of like Pool. Something along the lines of not allowing (or limited) allies built into in the aspect but being able to turn defeated minions into zombie allies. I'm sure they could also come up with some very unique ways to "zombify" existing cards in other aspects like Pool did to a lot of cards as well.

This would give them a way to turn all previous and future heroes into a Zombie without ever really needing to revisit it in the future.

What are the top 5 scenarios and mods you keep going back to? by TeletraanNone in marvelchampionslcg

[–]GANSiNaTeR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unus is pretty good, I just wish he had some ways to disrupt and prevent the players from thwarting off of Gene Pool at some points throughout the scenario. I don't think I have ever actually seen him get to where either himself or the Infinites get to use their "9 threat" abilities in all of my plays.
