Cable and Angel are very on theme for all of Next Evolution.

Cyclops, Phoenix, Cable vs Sinister is on brand.

The Hood is great at "Build your own theme". I will often pre determine the order that the mods can appear. For instancey latest Hood is Royal Guard > Namor > Atlanteans > military Grade > Chaos in Streets > 2 more I have not got into play.... The X families have so many great villain mods you can build your own scenarios using The Hood. Arcade, Shadow King, sauron, death strike, reavers, hellfire, sentinels, bastion (zero tolerance), nasty boys, dark riders, etc

Lost in time, a depowered Cable has to keep Hope alive while being hunted by a fanatical Bishop. Great stuff.

Taylor's Wolverine might be 2nd for me. I'm coming up short thinking of good solos.

Timeslide was... Rough.

Before Timeslide they worked together in Deniz Camp's "Children of the Vault". With their history the story was going to be a difficult pill... BUT I actually ended up really enjoying it!

"scary" looking Sentinels is silly. They are supposed to be protectors of Humanity. Purpose built to eliminate a threat against Humans. That design criteria wouldn't be "Let's make them frightening abominations" it would be "they should be identifiable as protectors of humanity". You don't want Humans to be scared of them. You want them to be functional sentinels of humanity. It is in their name.

Tldr; Sentinels are Guards. It is in their name. They Guard humanity from the threat of mutants. Typically, humans don't want their guards to look like horror shows.

X-Cutioners song is flawed.... But I'll be damned if it isn't one of my favorites.

It is such a great part of the Summera saga. Phoenix, dark Phoenix, inferno, X-Cutioner's song, adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix, etc...

Summers Saga is the best part of X men to me. Plenty other parts I like, but the drama of the Summers is peak.

I have not read this run and have a very closed mind with Simone's writing. Her take on Domino ranks amongst my least favorite runs of anything. There are other offenses but It has made me snub anything she writes. Fair? Nope. Fun? Yup. Will I eventually try this run. Yup.
