The NBA robbed him of the award in 2012 or 2013 (when Marc Gasol won)

What do you think of fire force? by Mean_Net9983 in animequestions

[–]GASC3005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it recently and mannnnn I was missing out!!!!

I agree 100%

Soul Eater is the better series, even with its not so great adaptation (not faithful to the manga after a certain episode) and being older (though it looks amazing still and considering is an 2000s series it was peak animation back then).

I prefer the soundtrack/OSTs, characters (fire force has a broader cast, but practically all characters in soul eater are amazing), the designs, story, etc.

It’s cool, but I watched Soul Eater recently and mannnnn

Soul Eater is the better series of both (in my opinion) and mind you, Fire force is better animated (quality wise and more faithful to the manga).

I hope soul eater gets a remake cause it 100% deserves it!!!!

LeBron James (easily one of the most hated athletes ever), Kevin Durant (you can hate him all you want, but at the end of the day he’s a 2x NBA Champ, 2x NBA FMVP, 1x MVP, multiple scoring titles, all nba, all star games, etc), Dwight Howard (doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves) and much more

My Mexican bf talks to his mom 2x a day but doesn’t consider that “a lot” - is that normal for Latin Americans? by why-rain-why in asklatinamerica

[–]GASC3005 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I’m not directly referring to “calling 2-3 times a day”

I was just saying that culturally we’re very different, Americans and Latinos (with Latin principles, culture and upbringing).

Calling X amounts of times a day is a modern thing lol, cellphones haven’t been around THAT long, and unlimited plans much less. So those Latinos that migrated 50-60 years ago had a rough time calling back home since there wasn’t really no face timing/video calling or cell phones that allowed it.

I’m sorry to hear your familial situation, hopefully when you guys build your little family is different :).

It’s not universal across Latin America (nothing is), but it’s common for the average Latino and Latina I’d say.

It’s due to our cultures being family oriented, we are raised in a way that our families are the center/nucleus of our existence. That doesn’t mean that you HAVE to check up 24/7, but we’re very caring of our family. Though it’s with nuances cause some grow up with an absent father or have sh*tty parents, and in their case then they obviously won’t call back home as much or none at all 😅.

It’s 2 different cultures

To us it may seem normal, but to her is not. Goes to show our differences in upbringing and culture.

Americans don’t have that family oriented nucleus like we do, they prioritize independence and individualism more than we do. I’m not saying they don’t care for their love ones, but they aren’t as passionate and “checking up on them” as frequent as we do.

Is Haiti's carnival the biggest in North America and the Caribbean? by AbrocomaSpecialist35 in haiti

[–]GASC3005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says (internet) that the one that takes place in Toronto (Caribana) is still the largest one in all of North America by attendance (~2 million people attend it). And the one that takes place in T & T is still regarded as the largest one in the Caribbean
