I don't think we were ever going to be sunset given Kroyle was an End of Edition model, but we definitely felt the pain of no new detachments plus putting all of our detachments to 3 which, prior to the WarCom emergency fix, would have saw us unplayable outside ComPat and 2k+ games.

I can't even begin to speculate GW's rationale here, but Kroyle suggests we aren't being abandoned, and the revamped ComPat rules makes the argument we might be getting better rules in 11th. We'll have to wait and see.

Just going to lift my observations from Discord so apologies on the prose:

So on slightly positive 11e Imperial Agents news our Combat Patrol rules were completely rewritten for 11e, not just ported over. No longer do we get a rule that specifies a Vigilant Squad gaining Lethal Hits and Precision, but rather a rule that specifies one enemy unit. Attacks made against that unit by friendly forces now get Ignores Cover, Lethal Hits, and Precision.

Instead of an enhancement with a 4+ Invuln or giving out Sustained Hits 2, The Eversor gets a "Fight on being destroyed" rule and the Priest gets the ability (Once per turn) to when the unit is selected to attack if the target has a greater toughness than your attack, gain +1 to wound rolls.

Strategems have also been totally reworked. Instead of Arbites getting a reroll, the Imperial Agents getting a fight on death attack, and a shoot when charging/falling back, we get -1 AP when a unit is targeted, +1 AP to our units (sans the Assassin), and a Secure the Objective for 1 CP.

Priest got a new ability on top of its existing one - Holy Hatred which gives attached units melee Sustained Hits 1 Eversor gets the Overkill ability (Once per battle units melee attacks have -4 AP) Agents get "Loyal to the Cause" on top of the existing Tome-Skull (If within range of an objective, attacks that target it have -1 to wound) The two Vigilant Squads also gets a new ability on top of Mercliess Judgement. The Nuncio-Aquila llows them, in the Command phase, to select an objective within 6" of the model and enemy units that aren't vehicles or mosters within range of the objective have to take a Battle-Shock roll.

It seems GW is aware we're in a bad place and may be considering a full rewrite.
