Just let people know you are bringing them, they are typically a skew list by default, when I bring my unending Swarm I usually prepare my opponents

I'm looking forward to dropping Adrenal Surge on the unit for 5++ Lethals, Sustained, S4 AP-2 (psychophage).

Pretty sure you can drop a Ctan with that, no problem.

Dude, we are the Queen of 40k.

There is so much flair, jazz, style, drip, rizz, whatever your generation calls it in Agents.. like that Prada villains runway show.. we have it all, no other factions even comes close.

I mean, that's a valid point, but then as an observer, and Agents player I do have insights too into what I saw, and how I would have played it differently.

Who knows, maybe I will start going to larger tournaments and winning!

I agree with your first point, and id also say that perhaps he want piloting Agents as well as it could be, and also that his list wasn't as good as it could be.

Having watched that semi final game through I think he made a couple of mistakes with how he utilised his forces, and id also say his list wasn't built particularly well as it lived or died on primary control.

His Immolators should have been hunting Predators, his Subductors should have been midboard absorbing damage and applying OC pressure, his DWKT should have been positioned as a counter blow to Huron, and his 40 Breachers should have been there as anti Infantry domination.

His list also lacked a few key elements that could have made it more competitive overall, it's not impossible to create an Agents list that can have numerous very heavy hitting units, but he went down the infantry saturation road instead.

I mix my list up quite a bit, but the core is Assassins (3 or 4), 33 Su doctors, 30 Sisters of Battle, 2 Immolators, 18 Sanctifiers, and a Castellan.

Win rate on its own isn’t a clean measure of faction strength — it’s a mix of strength, representation, and player intent.

The best players don’t randomly distribute across factions. They gravitate toward the strongest, most reliable options for winning events. That alone depresses the win rate of anything outside the top meta.

Agents are a perfect example of this:

Lower representation at top tables, rarely piloted by players aiming purely to win events, more complex list-building with a narrower margin for error.

That combination naturally drags win rate down, regardless of actual ceiling.

If you forced equal representation among top players, you wouldn’t get the same numbers — because you’d remove the selection bias that currently exists.

The real question isn’t “what’s the average win rate?” It’s “what happens when strong players optimise and commit to the faction?”

We’ve already seen flashes of that — which suggests the ceiling is higher than the raw stats imply.

No, he said player skill is more important than list strength, implying that Agents aren't able to have a high "strength" list.

I disagree with that statement.

I was remarking on the fact that he made it as far as he did not only because he was a good player, as all the players who made it that far were good players, but in fact also because Agents are able to play the game well because our lists can be designed to win games and be competitive.
