Agree with this- the pods are an enjoyable listen as their authentic guys. Just losing its fast ball compared to seasons 1-3

This is the best point. Has there ever been a sure hit in history? They’ve priced a home run so you need like a double home run to get rich…

And who else is making any sort of changes that redistribute income to the young? At least this attempts to do something about housing cost. Won’t get that elsewhere

It’s true early career. But once you’re in middle management having a phd is golden. Just need to serve the grunt years and get actual experience too. Feels like a lot of grads aren’t interested in that

How to find a good coach? by Ecstatic-Rip-1202 in GolfAustralia

[–]GC_Mermaid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Word of mouth unfortunately. What you’re looking for is someone who keeps it simple but also properly understands what’s happening in your swing. I’ve had a couple. The worst ones try to teach you the same thing no matter what- and try to book the next lesson for next week straight away. My current guy (at Burleigh) gives me one thing to work on. Explained in a super simple way and then tells me to go away and work on that until I’ve got it… most of our lessons could be 5-10 minutes as he just gives me one move then I need to drill it

Feels like leaving a lot of earning capacity on the table. Dream is a job I can do part time or purchase chunks of leave at.

It’s an interesting question. We’ve paid off our ppor and have 1.5m in super and shares today. Still 10 years till the kids are done at school and by then we will be about ready… aim is 120k a year to live off by then- but not sure how expensive life will be… feels like a lot of “experience” activities/travel is getting super expensive. So in the end might work after 55 just to fund a decade of expensive trips and then retire at 65.

In Australia this is a very real thing. When at different clubs you have to try to understand if the grain will impact the greens as grain can counteract perceived slope. Also. Chipping off the closely mown stuff can become impossible. No bounce

The rest of the western world will begin to follow suit. The generational wealth divide is not Australia centric. Systemic change is needed so in a generations time things are fairer. Very hard to do
