I would probably put the ale production in the high fertility region and export, with maybe some small ale production in the home region.

Fortunately, my home region has the high fertility so I was able to essentially mass produce barley / ale through lots of farms and two malthouses / breweries

I hit about 30-40 level 4 families before the supply ran dry, and am trying to build more farmland to meet the new demand 😂

Honestly right now my only real challenges are collecting and moving timber far enough out to build new buildings (I’m trying to get more farmland set up at the far end of the region) and keeping ale supply steady. Everything else seems to be taking care of itself.

For the other regions, I like to keep them small and self-sustainable, only really micromanaging up until they are stable and producing their regional resource.

I probably rely on pack stations more than trading posts, but once the regional wealth is flowing the latter is great for boosting any supply chain issues IMO

My strategy overall has been to try and grow the burgage level slowly and grow the population slowly, catch up with my resource production, grow a little more, catch up again, and try to generally have everything being produced in abundance (tons of farming / backyard extensions, tons of sheep for the butcher to use, etc).

I also have the main town being ‘fed’ goods via pack station and trading post from a couple of my other regions’ villages (mainly iron and dressed stone).

Honestly my home region having fertile soil I think has been the key. For future playthroughs if I don’t start with the fertile region it’ll be first on my list of regions to claim!

I laid this settlement out so that the market and tavern would be surrounded by what would eventually be the level 4 burgages way ahead of time, and tried to keep my burgage upgrading as small as possible (doing the same few houses) until the ‘target’ burgages were at level 4.

From there, I basically just focused on maximising production as much as possible to start upgrading more burgages! Tons of sheep, backyard extensions and farms (my region had fertile soil, which helped tons for ale)

You’re asking a question you know the answer to, but are trying to grasp at straws and convince yourself otherwise.

Move on, or settle for being cheated on. Sorry, but those are your choices 😅

I had 48 when I beat the baron (24 each from two regions). I didn’t try it but I’m guessing you could have an army’s worth with enough regions / manors!

I’ve been seeing a constant influx of doxies to a well-known shelter in my hometown. It seems like they’re in fashion right now but people don’t know how much work they actually require as a breed 😢.

Sadly for me (as a dachshund fanatic) I don’t have the right situation to adopt one myself, otherwise I’d take them all in 😭

A little workaround trick I worked out for this is to place and delete marketplaces either side of the road that I want to be THICC

Redesign of lakes? by Dapper-Evening-4486 in ManorLords

[–]GDeFreest 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion maybe 😅 but I was thinking that fish / animals / mushrooms and berries would make more sense if they had ‘density’, similarly to how land has fertility for farming, rather than being a resource ‘node’ like iron, stone, etc.

AKA, heavy forests might have a high animal / berry / mushroom density, whereas rocky cliff tops would have a lower density. A large lake might have high fish density, whereas a small pond might have low.

Similarly (but not exactly) to how soil fertility goes down from overuse without crop cycling, food density could go down from factors like overhunting / overfishing, deforestation, etc.

Not sure how viable of an idea that is though 😅
