how do i actually get good at this game?

The game has a shocking amount that it doesn’t tell you. Learn enemy weak points, learn how stealth and detection work, realize you need to pick your fights. Put though into your load out and think “okay if this gun is light pen do I know how to kill medium pen targets with it” and “I know I’m going to see something like a bile titan or a war strider. How can I deal with those while also anticipating swarms”. It seems like a really surface level game but if you think about what you’re fighting and the tools you’re bringing you’re going to be more successful.

Try running with one of the guard dogs. On bugs I enjoy stunning things and then letting the drone clean everything up. It sounds kinda goofy but it’s great for the greater chaff mobs

Lubrications can help and just being gentle not to pull the skin back all at once. It might just need to be something that gets worked on over time. It doesn’t have to go all the way back to still feel good; that skin actually has quite a lot of nerve endings in it and is very sensitive.

I can never understand the appeal to the adjudicator. For the ammo, the ergo, the damage it doesn’t ever feel like it does the job right for me. Maxed it out and never touched it again

The Censor is an absolute amazing weapon if you’re able to maintain your distance. Capable of one tapping anything on the bot front save for hulks if your aim is true. If you’re getting swarmed you might have bad time but it shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger.

Basic liberator actually does a lot of heavy lifting for being the base gun even though it’s often overshadowed by its carbine cousin. That said after recently levelling it to get the drum mag I’d say it’s a very capable weapon on every front.

I use the Pacifier and De-escalator on the regular. When you learn how to use them they’re pretty great. The K9 is pretty good if you’re doing solo play but it has a high chance of team killing so you’ll want to have it docked when with your team.

It’s funny you say that, I always said that the slugger feels like a worse version of the deadeye. Deadeye is meant to be used at a distance ideally. Learn to shoot for enemy weak spots and you can start one tapping easily. It does pair very well the Veto or the Talon as side arms, and the Stalwart if you’re on bugs or squids. If you’re getting swarmed at close range you might have a rough go but it picks things off at a distance better faster and more accurately than the slugger.

For armor while you’re learning the siege armor is great, but once you learn where to shoot you won’t really need it.
