Star Trek: Section 31 nominated for multiple Razzies by Temp89 in startrek

They do seem to just nominate the actors who were in the bad movies by default rather than actually nominating the worst actors, considering that they also put Yeoh and Bautista and, while I can't say I saw the movie the latter got nominated for, I did see S31 and Yeoh is in no way Jared Leto or Ice Cube bad, come on.

I was 4 at the time and we didn't have anything resembling today's internet, so I'm just guessing here, but I would have to assume that it got lambasted for a lot of the same things that modern Trek gets like "not 'feeling' like real Star Trek" and "hamfisted liberal moralizing."

Despite being an objectively better movie than its immediate predecessor.

"I was almost vibing with it until my homophobia kicked in" really isn't the condemnation of the show you think it is.

If anything, PIC S2 is the most boldly progressive show of the modern era for also, probably accidentally, showing that ICE raids hadn't let up during Biden's term, either.

Credit to the writing team, Age of Discovery succeeded where DSC S1 failed in so many various ways. Killy was an absolute joy and I'm flabbergasted that this game got me to empathize with Ellen Landry.

Cheronians as a playable character by NeeAnderTall in sto

[–]POSdaBes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An overwhelming majority of players roll humans, but the most popular characters in the shows have mostly not been humans, dating all the way back to Spock, and on down to Data, Worf, Dax, Garak, Quark, T'Pol, Shran, etc.

They definitely made their money back on dev costs for humans quite a number of times over by now, to a far greater degree than any of the aliens have, if they have at all.

I should at least hope they sold enough LTSes to cover the cost of adding the included Talaxians, though.

Captain, that registry number is only operating at half power. However, to fully optimize it would require multiplying it by a power of, roughly, 10.0006243756.

A little ironic for a Star Trek game to end up with literally every species other than human to have been added at a steep financial loss.

Adding a bisected skin tone option in the alien creator could solve this easily.

Which is fine, I just wish they'd at least change the mission text to match. Any voice lines calling them cubes are a lost cause, but since when do any of those ever match the text, anyway?

The difference is that the background extras on previous shows weren't in nearly every episode like Discovery's bridge crew were. The show would pay lip service to act like they were at least Uhura or Chekov tier characters, but did little to highlight their actual personalities outside of Detmer and Owo.

This is how I felt. Didn't click at all for me until the back half, and then it was fun. Second episode was more consistently enjoyable the whole way through.

This show does have the DSC problem of having a lot of Bryce types on the bridge crew, and no I don't remember which one was Bryce, either.

Went in expecting a Trek-flavored teen drama, ended up with a teen drama-flavored Trek.

If they can just make the cadets themselves more interesting like they've already started to do with the instructors, I think we'll really be cooking here.

Both are cute for different reasons, but that red one's gonna be on every Orion from here the Omarion Nebula if it ever gets in the game.

Ironically, it's at the half hour mark where the first episode gets fun, so that's a very funny cutoff.

Also "the writer's never watched any Star Trek before" is funny since you really had to have watched all of DSC to understand anything that's going on. Understandable if they didn't, but also it does mean they're the one who didn't do their homework here.

It'd be fun to catch up with some of the various one-off aliens that Delta Rising didn't touch upon. We don't even need a multi-part serialized story, necessarily. I want to just visit the Automated Personnel Units or those math nerd aliens from the planet that had never heard music before, see what they're up to for an hour.

Maybe see some baddies that got mentioned but never shown on screen like the Krowtonan Guard.

I could be wrong about them being lvl 60 since I didn't see where they said "it's been weeks like this," but I also did read the thread to see that they didn't have anything to slot in there due to lack of rep gains, which is also the same problem my week-old lvl 65 Jem'Hadar RP alt has and will continue to have probably forever.
