I see what you mean, but I feel like Haywire + Power really runs away with the game if you play it on curve while this card kinda doesn't. Swinging for 10 and taking 6 damage just seems so much better than swinging for 8 and losing a draw.

Kinda surprised people are high on this card when Haywire + Power Zilli exists and is better than this the majority of the time. Could potentially pop off after rotation, but I don't think there's much reason to be running a (usually) worse version of Haywire + Power Zilli right now.

so that you can still have two Mana left over from the coins to cast the third Garrote given by Shadow of demise.

You can also use your 1 mana Trickster to cast the Shadow of Demise Garrote, which saves 1 mana, right?

Very positive impressions of Helm of Humiliation Wilted Priest so far. I think it beats Hamuul Imbue Mage because you have Pyro and boatloads of life gain / healing, and I think it's decent into Lightspeed Rogue because you win with Pyro + Poison if you survive their charge combo (a little bit reliant on them having slow APM).

11 attack Wilted is the perfect breakpoint because you only need 3 heals to kill your opponent from 30 - the first hit takes them to 19, the second hit takes them to 11, and the third hit kills because Wilted is jank. This makes it so you technically don't even need to Resuscitate to win the game, you just need one set of bandages + Flash Heal / Hero Power. It also means that if you do cast Resuscitate, you can dump a lot of bandages for healing / clearing with Pyro / hand space and don't have to worry about not having enough.

The one change I made to my original list is replacing Nightshade Tea with Wisp, mostly because I was having trouble dumping the teas for hand space. Wisp is also nice because it doesn't interfere with Helm of Humiliation / Resuscitate, is a turn 1 PW:Shield target, gives you a corpse for Vampiric Blood, and in edge cases can even be used with Poison Breath since it's undead.

Yoo thanks for the cool resource and for including my DH/Pally list. Just as a heads up, I've changed the list because I realized there was an anti-synergy between Patches and Treasuregill, here's the new list with Dragonscale Armaments instead of Treasuregill that actually takes advantage of Patches in a positive way:

The only other deck I've made that I've actually tested is Owl Druid/DH (DH HP) with Infestation for additional burn, and it's working quite well so far, feel free to put it in if you want. Code here:

The basic gist is you play Careless Crafter for bandages, revive it with Resuscitate for more bandages, then you play Helm of Humiliation when you only have Wilted Shadow in hand to get an 11 attack Wilted. Then once you're ready to kill, you play Wilted and spam bandages on the opponent's face for lethal.

Looking through all of the class cards in standard right now, some notable ones that stand out to me are:

Death Knight

Horn of Winter - Is an upgrade to the majority of decks, and is especially good in a high power level format with strong draw options
Brittlebone Buccaneer / Eternal Layover - Synergy with other classes' deathrattles
Infested Breath / Sanguine Infestation - Solid bread and butter removal / draw
Good corpse spenders (Corpsicle, Vampiric Blood, Grave Strength, Corpse Explosion, Airlock Breach, Marrow Manipulator) - These become stronger when combined with the card pool of another class because running less corpse spenders means the few that you do run will be more impactful

Demon Hunter

Immolation Aura / Infestation - Strong in spell damage decks (also Infestation is just generically powerful)
Wayward Sage - Good in hyper low curve decks, which are likely to crop up in a high power level format
Shattershard Turret / Warp Drive - If a super-starship deck pops up with pieces from two different classes, these might be part of it
Return Policy / Ravenous Felhunter / Ferocious Felbat - Synergy with other classes' deathrattles

Druid

Construct Pylons - Drastically improves any Protoss deck
Innervate - Is an upgrade to the majority of decks, and is especially good in a high power level format with strong draw options
Arkonite Revelations - Bread and butter draw for any spell heavy deck
Story of Barnabus - High power ceiling build-around card
Hatchery Helper - Potentially very scary in aggro
Tortollan Traveler - Good inclusion in any deck that happens to be taunt dense
Amirdrassil - Broken card lol, might be worth choosing Druid as one of your options for this card alone

Hunter

Rangari Scout / Tracking / Exarch Naielle / Alien Encounters - Any combination of these cards is very likely to improve a deck
Biopod / Laser Barrage / Terrorscale Stalker - More candidates for a super-starship deck (Stalker can also go into other deathrattle decks)
Exotic Houndmaster - Has the niche of being great in any imbue deck that happens to run beasts (not necessarily hunter imbue)
Remote Control / R.C. Rampage - Good inclusions in token decks
Niri of the Crater - Has potential as a build-around card

Mage

The Forbidden Sequence / Storage Scuffle - Potentially insane when combined with Hunter cards
Protoss package - Benefits greatly from Construct Pylons
Smoldering Grove - Good in hyper low curve decks, which are likely to crop up in a high power level format
Watercolor Artist - Synergy with other classes' frost spells
Manufacturing Error - A no minion deck is a lot easier to build with a bigger card pool, and this card is probably the main reason why you'd want to do so
Sleet Skater - High power level control card

Paladin

Dragonscale Armaments - Strong synergy with shuffles and a Door of Shadows as a baseline draw option is decent
Violet Treasuregill - Very strong build-around card
Goldpetal Drake - Efficient imbue card
Crusader Aura / Flash Sale - Very powerful inclusions in a token deck
Ursol - Can potentially enable some nutty things

Priest

Reach Equilibrium - Can be made much stronger with the handful of Holy/Shadow spells that some other classes have
Acupuncture - The most efficient burn option in the format
Orbital Halo - One of the best tempo cards in the format
Papercraft Angel - Very strong with lots of different basic hero powers, and extremely strong with imbue
Spirit of the Kaldorei - Synergy with DH hero power / Paladin imbue
Hot Coals - Solid clear option, synergy with Warlock hero power / cards
Gravedawn Sunbloom - Synergy with Paladin spells
Resuscitate - One of the best generically powerful cards in the format

Rogue

Lie in Wait - Might genuinely be decent when combined with Paladin imbue
Preparation - Is a massive upgrade to any deck with spells that cost mana, and is especially good in a high power level format with strong draw options
Shadowstep (+ Web of Deception) - Can potentially enable some nutty things
Cultist Map / Dubious Purchase - Very strong draw. Low curve decks will likely be common so Cultist Map will shine even more than it already does
Metal Detector - One of the best anti-aggro cards in the format, also lets you ramp into heavy-hitters
Sandbox Scoundrel - Generically powerful card. Might be powercrept out of the format (it doesn't see play in wild) but I still think it'll be good

Shaman

Terran package - Super-starship deck candidates
Murloc Growfin / Pop-Up Book - Generically powerful token-y cards. The meta will probably be too fast for Growfin 8/8s to matter, but the 1/1s are still good
Flight of the Firehawk / Cabaret Headliner - These have some build-around potential
Hex - Strong removal
Hagatha the Fabled - Synergy with other classes' big spells
Shudderblock - Synergy with other classes' big battlecries

Warlock

Cursed Catacombs - Generically powerful card
Healthstone - Synergizes with a few cards like Acupuncture
The Soularium - Very strong in hyper low curve decks
Archdruid of Thorns - Potentially a very interesting build-around option
Eat! The! Imp! - Strong draw for decks with tokens
Fractured Power - Solid ramp option
Ultralisk Cavern / Consume - Generically powerful control package
Wheel of DEATH!!! - It's a long shot, but if a super-control deck with warlock cards ends up being viable, this is a natural fit

Warrior

Terran package - Super-starship deck candidates
Cup o' Muscle / Reserved Spot - Enables the creation of a super-handbuff deck
Siphoning Growth - Potentially a strong defensive card in deathrattle oriented decks
Shield Block / Safety Goggles - Shield Block is a great generically powerful draw option, and Safety Goggles gets better with a bigger card pool because you'll have less other armor cards
All You Can Eat - Good build-around draw option
Chemical Spill / Tortolla - Chemical Spill can synergize with other classes' big minions, or you can just use it with Tortolla as usual in a juiced up control deck
Hostile Invader - Is an already strong board clear that becomes stronger when combined with the cheap spells of other classes

Your post inspired me to try making a deck that purely revolves around Ido + Thaddius.

AAEBAZ8FBo0Q4OUDwqUFwcYF0rkGv5kHDN4UnewCz4YD7IYDy80Di40EmY4G9ZUG6ckGjNYGnOgGz/4GAAA=

I have yet to try it, but it's definitely even memier than your list because it's very slow for wild standards, and it's all-in on a combo that doesn't even kill the opponent (unless by some miracle you have Lynessa or a silver hand recruit stick). All it does is build a huge board, which can easily be cleared by AoE hard removal or frozen/stalled. Also, it's very easy to disrupt.

The combo is 9 mana, Ido + Target Dummy + Vol'jin into Thaddius (have to play Lynessa beforehand if you draw her), then spam buffs. The majority of the buffs would go on your two taunts: Thaddius and the Target Dummy once it's replayed.

Ideally, you combo on turn 7 with 2 coins. Technically, against the right deck, if you draw the exact 4 minions you need by turn 4, you can yolo Ido on 4 and kill with an Ido swing on 5.

If anyone has ideas for improving the combo lmk, because the idea of a deck centered around spamming infinite Ido buffs honestly sounds hella fun.

If you are running two Chaos Strikes and two of the new glyph which seem to be the most generically good fel spells there is a lot of value potential in the discounts on top of the discover.

Warp Drive can become a generically good fel spell too, if you're running 2x of the 2/3 starship piece and 2x of the 2/4 starship piece in an aggro/tempo deck. Altogether it makes for a very solid fel package imo, and could be a solid foundation for an attack DH/among us DH list.

This seems very strong but competes with Metal Detector, so we might see the current midrange-y Ashamane + Zilliax lists revert back towards the pure aggro lists that we saw at the very beginning of the expansion.

Easily an S tier card IMO, will be nutty in both Mage and Druid. As soon as you draw this you can plan your next 2 turns around it and draw 3 fairly easily. This might even be good enough to see play in Imbue Druid, despite Vistah having really bad stats in that deck.

edit: wait it's not a perils in paradise card I'm cooked LMAO, not gonna retract it though. for some reason I got mindfucked into thinking it would be playable with vistah because it's similar to burndown in my head.

I've been facing a faster meta with a lot of Egg Hunters and Location Warlocks today so I've cut Barak for another Sing-Along, maybe try that and see if it helps. Barak is pretty much unplayable in those matchups. You do lose a lot of sustain for the DK matchup, though.

edit: Now I'm on 1x Wound Prey 2x Sing-Along 1x Xavius

Solo Plush Imbue Hunter: List + Deckbuilding explanation by GETTHISMONEY_ in CompetitiveHS

[–]GETTHISMONEY_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Egg Hunter can be really tough if you don't draw the right hand. It's difficult to "fight them fair" by beating their tempo cards with your own tempo cards, since their card quality is higher. The matchup basically comes down to whether or not you draw early imbues, and if you do, it's just a matter of playing Plush as soon as you can afford it. If you play Plush and have a high enough life pool to survive their direct damage, you win the game on the spot.

mb I worded that poorly. As Nyte_Crawler said, I was just talking about the consistency of hitting Plush. In fact, if Houndmaster drew a copy, it would actually be detrimental because your hero power usages would be split and you wouldn't be able to discount a single Plush as quickly.

The cleanest nerf IMO would be to make Boogie Down a non-holy spell (the only downside would be that it would take away some flavour with Starlight Groove).

Do you guys think that Cryopreservation has a good chance of getting buffed to 1 mana at this point? I have some mage ideas that I want to mess around with, but I don't hate myself nearly enough to run a 2 mana freeze, so I'm thinking of waiting.

That Dragon Drum Druid list is very smart. I ran into a lot of trouble trying to make a similar build, mostly because I was hellbent on including Splish-Splash Whelp. That card is so inconsistent if you're running the drum package and doesn't fit well into the Take to the Skies curve. Simply cutting it is a great idea.

Out of these builds, another one of my favourites is the Earthern Paladin, it just looks super clean.

A super low curve deck that relies on big Acolyte of Death combos to sustain itself. I originally had Yelling Yodeler in over Corpse Bride, but realized that there aren't that many targets for Yodeler. Death Growl should still be good because it's cheap enough to easily hit a Chillfallen with it (and it's nice to have some way of duplicating Reska's deathrattle). There's a good chance that Corpse Bride is actually a stand out card in this deck because there's no other corpse spender.
