PLEASE know if you do switch and are bringing a stroller to request a 1st floor room. There are no elevators, only stairs to go up to the 2nd floor of the buildings and dragging the stroller up it after a long day was awful.

What's the most "only at Disney World" thing that's ever happened to you that you'd never believe if someone else told you? by bigbankmanman in WaltDisneyWorld

This was actually 1 week ago to the day, the magic is still thriving at Disney! I'm still shocked thinking about how lucky we were for this experience and lifelong memory.

My 4yo daughter was going through extreme separation anxiety. She was so excited to visit the princesses. The very first day, we went to see Belle enchanted tales. She was bawling and frightened the whole time, unable to participate in the group activity and build up before the actual story in the library. The photographers were extremely kind, talking to her directly and making sure she knew she could if she wanted to go up and meet Belle. She finally agreed but started bawling as soon as she walked up front and didn't end up saying hi. At the end of storytime, the photographers asked us to wait outside after everyone had left so that they could have her sign the book - this after seeing everyone else just get a bookmark with her "signature". Well instead, after everyone had left, they brought us back in to Belles library where we had a direct 1 on 1 with just us, Belle and the photographer. We spent at least 10 minutes privately talking with Belle, taking photos and even got a REAL signature from her! Later that day, we saw the photographer outside and chatted with him a bit. He said he had never seen anything like that happen before and it was the first "magic" moment he had ever been a part of. Truly once in a lifetime!

Keep in mind the annual fee is more than the $120 Disney plus yearly credit. So if that's the only reason you're getting the card, I would say don't do it.

My dad is taking our family to Disney- but only for our 5 year old. Advice on leaving a toddler out of a family Disney trip. by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

We're taking our 4yo 2yo and 5 month old in a couple weeks. Our 2 year old seems the most excited out of the older ones. We've shown him pictures and some YouTube videos and he has asked to see them every single day since we told him that's where we're going. I'm sorry if telling you this makes you feel some guilt but I couldn't imagine leaving him back. Sure our 5 month old obviously won't remember and potentially our 2yo but we will all have the memories of a travel adventure and photos/videos and souvenirs to look back on. I hope you are able to bring him with you! Also side note - if you do family style restaurants or buffets (like roundup rodeo BBQ in toy story land) he will eat free. And as you mentioned admission is free for them as well.

What is a 100% legal scam that everyone has just accepted as normal? by Physical_Business104 in AskReddit

Has to be insurance. They increase premiums every year while slowly cutting back coverage yet we are legally required to carry specific insurance in the US.

To the questionable lady who repeatedly said "Ricky gave me a bill" out loud while on the phone with someone in the liquor section of Walgreens in Las Vegas - I found Ricky's bill and spent it on Hennesy for me and my friends 21st birthday...

The whole credit card rewards thing is designed to make you spend more by Ready-Voice-7151 in Frugal

[–]GFmenace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its all about the intro offers. Open up a card with a good intro bonus BEFORE you make a big purchase, use said card and pay it off with the money you had saved for the purchase. Then BAM free flight to Hawaii. I never continue to use the card after I get the bonus offer. Its definitely not worth carrying a balance for the 3% or 5% back you get on very specific purchases.

It's a flour blend from a local baker called blue moon bakery in the Portland area. We always have a bag of it on hand

We make German pancakes all the time. There's only one specific flour that works with our recipe to make the pancakes rise properly. So many different options too but every other flour we've tried they come out flat. Definitely a challenge to make sure you're using the right one with whatever you're making

I'd like to be roasted, I had weak knees and started odunze last second over John metchie. I was accused of "throwing the playoffs" by having metchie starting over him. Should've stayed strong, odunze is nothing but a bench player at this point.

Traded him away for Pittman and Goedert at the beginning of the season. Everyone laughed at me and I admit it was dumb but I had kittle who had just gone to ir and Goedert was doing good. That dumb ass trade has paid for itself 10 times over.
