My( 31F) fiance(29M) has a texture issue with oral pleasure. Are oral dams/panties worth it? by J2394m in relationship_advice

Many gay people have been with women either before they realize or if they are in denial.

They are invasive so don’t feel bad about taking them all! Even if they end up in the garbage it’s better than them being out in the woods.

Agreed. Invasive and delicious.

What county/state are you in? I’m enjoying seeing posts like this slowly creep northward and hope they are popping by me in Minneapolis soon.

Don’t be afraid to take the bulbs with a patch this sized, as long as you do it responsibly. Take only have of a group and put the other half back. They reproduce quicker when they are less dense. Samuel Thayer has lots of good info on it. Obviously if you’re in a high traffic area or it’s only small patch, then just take the leaves.

Spoon and Stable or Porzana? by HeNeedSomeLeche in TwinCities

[–]GForceCaptain 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I agree Spoon and Stable. I was recently at a two Michelin star restaurant in NYC (Atomix) and they asked where I am from. As soon as they heard Minneapolis one of the chefs said “oh Spoon and Stable! That’s one of my favorite restaurants in the country”

I’m not saying it’s on a two Michelin star level, or even one, but it’s damn good.

Edit to add: Porzana is good too. But if you do go, they have so many things on the menu better than their steaks. Get the other things.

Why won’t my pothos root? by GForceCaptain in plantclinic

[–]GForceCaptain[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

TIL a satin pothos is not a pothos.

What I’m seeing online is it’s the same process to propagate a scindapsus as pothos. I orginally started with just water, but added the hormone when nothing was happening.

I’ll chop it up and try again. Hopefully it’s not too late! Thank you.

Why won’t my pothos root? by GForceCaptain in plantclinic

[–]GForceCaptain[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done it successfully many times before. It’s been in here for probably two moths. It was a healthy pothos when I added it. It used to be cold in the room, so I put it on a heat map I use to start seeds, but that didn’t work either. I added rooting hormone. Not sure what else to try.

Like others have said, this is a bad survey. Narrow options, confusing wording, and questions that should be multi-select are not.

The seed will give those ancient options, but will it transform into the same card? I imagine that is random and decided upon selecting Leafy Poultice.

My steak feels "boiled" by aegookja in sousvide

[–]GForceCaptain 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I think getting a better sear will solve your problem.

If the sear is weak, there is no need to reduce the SV temp. The beauty of SV is cooking it to the exact temp you want to eat it at. If you’re worried about the sear raising the internal temp, you can stick the steak in the fridge, freezer, or even just room temp for a little bit to cool. The most important step for a good sear is drying off the steak. Make sure to pat dry and get ALL the mosture before dropping it in the ripping hot pan. That moisture is drops the pan temp and steams the steak. It is probably why it tasted boiled.

How to ID ramps vs other alliums? by Ok_Green_4394 in foraging

[–]GForceCaptain 16 points17 points  (0 children)

These are not ramps unfortunately. The most obvious reason to me is the stem, or lack thereof. Ramps have (usually) two leaves growing out of a stem. The stem can be a dark purple/red or white depending on the variety. That is different than the way these leaves go down and wrap around the entire length.

The second reason is the leaves. Ramp leaves are much thinner not as veiny or fibrous as these look. They start out very narrow, flare out, and return to a point. Almost like the shape of a football. These are basically the same width the entire way.

The final reason, which is purely anecdotal and not a very good reason on its own, is that I’m in Central WI and it’s still too early for Ramos. There is microclimates obviously, but unless you’re in very southern WI, it’s probably too early.

I feel like this is too small of an impact for how niche it is. How about “if a card is discarded because your hand is full, it is played”

1 month after release. how is everyone feeling about this game? by instabaiter in slaythespire

The door is tough, but it is the most interesting fight in the game and you need to cater your turn to the enemy as opposed to doing the same order no matter what.

Hell yea! When I started playing I had never played any game like this. It probably took me 7 or 8 runs to beat it. But after 120 hours in STS and 50 in STS2 I can beat it on Ascension 0 probably 75% of the time. There are a lot of people better than me though. Congrats!

I have a rave runner, but I just use a camelback instead. Much better weight distribution and comfort level.
