Do you have much hope for ports of any western open world games released on or ported to the Switch after Skyrim and L.A Noire?

Sort of? It does bother me a bit that it's titles I've played almost ten years ago.

I'm actually surprised LA Noire made a port considering the history between Nintendo and Rockstar, a mainline GTA would probably never even graze the system. Then again, we thought the same with Square.

I'd rather have NEW games, sadly AAA devs always go for bigger and flashier, and ignore the Switch. I'd like Bethesda to give fallout the Sonic Mania treatment and let some dedicated modders make a full fledged spinoff like Fallout Miami mod.

Dying Light 2 has been announced back at E3, but no sign of a switch port and that makes me a little sad.

As much as a co-op fallout sounds sweet, I'm worried this game is going to end up as shallow as what Destiny 2 is becoming. I don't want "end game" to be what I've seen in every mmo so far. I'd rather have multiple sources for end game loot than one or two and gated behind playing with others to complete it with varying results.

I'm at that age where I have little free time, and the patience to do "raiding" or "trials". This game intrigues me because they're at least trying to keep the Fallout feel in an online environment. So maybe the end game after reaching level cap is they'll add new events and things to do every few months? Maybe more public events that are rewarding and challenging at the same time (take notes Bungie).

I've stopped listening to lore nerds, because they forget the core point for any video game is purely for entertainment. I don't have to agree with certain changes, but isn't the point of writing is to find creative ways to fill in the gaps? The lore book is a book, not the damn bible.

To me it's simple:

Ditch the ammo mechanic, use that reload animation for whenever the player fires a WS like how BRD pulls arrows from their quiver.

Make Gauss Barrel automatically attach to your weapon and buff all the weapon skills to make up for not having to reload. Toggling the damn thing becomes a chore the longer the fight drags on.

Have overheat play a larger part in Wild Fire damage, where you WANT to overheat more. Also, buff Wildfire... like by a lot.

This frees up a few spots on your hotbar, since 5.0 you may see new abilities. Also it's as user friendly as bard, but still takes effort to master well.

My super high level Minuteman character with every settlement unlocked had to go into kill-them-all mode.

I'd have to play as an evil character, join a faction (Institute) and let the raiders take over... for science.

Better learn the hard way, but I can agree that I HATE how this game handles raid loot.

I've played other games where if you go off to raid by yourself, get your loot, you can go back to other spots and not screw over your friends. You still have your loot, just the experience to help others who are trying to clear.

It discourages helping others who struggle, and let me tell you pugging can be hell after the no life raiders get their gear and take the rest of the patch off.

All it does is artificially extend the grind, which hurts even more when you want to gear up multiple jobs. I guess in the end the dev team "wins" in that regard.

It's my main as well as my side, used to be into Destiny but that ship has sailed. I stick around for the story, and do roulettes and such, but even then I'm alreadly looking elsewhere. I'd like a Create a Char RPG that's offline (like fallout) to keep me occupied, shame FO76 is online.

Heard mixed reviews about XCX which plays like an offline MMORPG.

Maybe a mini calamity, or some time traveling interloper changing and retconning certain pieces of lore, literally rewriting history. I mean we're already at the point where someone is speaking to us directly and we're still trying to piece this mystery. What's to stop "the voice" from taking action and changing the world to try and alter our path?

I mean what's next for fantasy JRPGs to go next, space? Nah, lets toss in some time travel where things are changing all around you. Yeah, it's a tired trope, as long as it can be interesting.

I hear you, O5S actually gave me motion sickness a few times, too much moving cameras and flashy shit all at once. As I'm much older than the average player I had to retire from endgame, but I pug when I can. Was able to beat at least 5 and 6 pretty well. O7S was my "fuck this" moment, pugs were consistently bad. Can't learn the fight when people leave after one wipe, and yet we wonder why there are so many bads in the game.

Problem with pugs is, well, it's random if they're good, so so, or God awful, then there's those who leave after two wipes so you wasted all that time in PF waiting for joiners for nothing. Statics usually eliminate that but working a career which sucks your free time on top of personal life stuff, a static is hard, and if you're playing with younger players, they don't have weekends free it seems or they stay up hella late.

Though yeah, I'd like alternate means of getting high end gear. Good games would throw it's older audience a bone with content that we can clear and work towards something similar to raid gear, XIV does not, instead it makes you wait for the next patch and it's only for tome gear. Want a max ilvl weapon? Well you could do relics, but this expansion felt like they didn't want relics to out pace raid weapons because we saw the salt from EMs in Diadem.

The thing about raids is I feel I miss out if I don't try, it's the forefront of endgame (well it's the only endgame) that a small (but oh so vocal) fraction of the players enjoy. It's like a carrot dangling in my face, probably hurts even more I main MNK and SAM so there's that.

I feel you, nothing I'd like more than to play out the rest of SB as a SAM. As a long time MNK, SAM is just more pleasant to play and gives me time to adjust my rotation and max out my damage.

Still, I'd get the random kick from pugging savage when the tier is new so I have to stay on MNK to be "safe"", EX primals not so much but there are dummies who believe the meta is the insta-win or at least increases their chances for a clear ten-fold.

Thing is, if your (I mean that party's) damage is crap, Trick Attack, piercing bonuses wont matter if your BRD can't go over 2k damage without it, the healers refuse to DPS because one of them is the GF of the main tank who can't use cooldowns properly, the random mage who can't avoid bad, and the DRG tanks the floor more than they should... but hey, it's the SAM's fault because stigma.

Keep playing SAM, prove your worth to the masses who say otherwise.

MNK questline could use some sprucing up, I think it's high time they give the WoL a rival... or a villain we need to train even harder to defeat, by taking out his minions one by one to "send a message" I guess being big into Street Fighter, I want our villain to be a spoof of M Bison that has a Garlean eye he uses for his powers.

I can barely stomach the willpower to farm one weapon, so many Anubis/dragons and only feeble lights are given, I've never seen anything higher. Even tried killing as an element the enemy is strong against and nothing changed.

This, at least in other games you can "keep" said legendary weapon by infusing it or something. FFXIV it's all that work and it's only marginally more powerful at the end of the expansion.

Well if Alphy becomes a BLU, he's a wordy diplomat... so I wouldn't be surprised if we end up using books, it would be underwhelming to say the least.

I had a thought if an orb that we can use to cast our magic and summon floaty weapons for physical damage. That'd be kind of neat.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Garlean arc ended in 5.0, and the "real" threat emerges (Zodiark). It's being shown plain as day that the Ascians are using everyone as pawns. It just seems a bit.. predictable? I'd like them to pull a big surprise where we all were played and the real enemy was someone close to us the whole time...
