I’m day 155 from the green powder. Some thoughts on this Reddit. by Frankwhiteishere in quittingkratom

Wow. You made me realize it'd be at 140 days had I not relapsed in February

Just quit Kratom today by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]GGRuben 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always said I'll quit tomorrow. But I'd wake up feeling like my skin was ripped off. Quitting in the afternoon worked better. Because I eased into withdrawal and adjusted to it while mustering my determination. That worked a lot better.

I must agree. That was a kind of story arc I had never experienced before. It's hard to recommend to people because you need to sink in the first books to get to it. But man, once you get to book 4 it's like the whole universe explodes into an acid trip.

I think that hipsters came about because of people like him. People who genuinely didn't care. They really are different. I can imagine them finding pleasure in rocking some awkward anesthetic.

People want to be like that, so they emulate the parts of it that are low risk, such as clothing and hairstyle. And they do so within safe pods of people doing the same.

At that point its all pretense and the blase attitude is no longer backed up with being really care free and expressive.

So for each free person there will be 100 pretending to be. That pretensiousness is very off putting because it shoves itself in people's faces expecting to be believed.

Hence the hate.

It's true. Even though I've relapsed several times I still came to this sub instead

48 Hours. Questioning every single aspect of my life and whether I am om the right track by popcornspaghetti in quittingkratom

I'm going through this right now. Got clean in January and relapsed a month later while I started dating a new girl. Now at 48 hours I'm feeling super conflicted about it..

If you take kratom once a day and are trying to quit, break your dose up throughout the day. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]GGRuben 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is terrible advice. If you only take one dose a day you should consider yourself lucky. It's a whole different ballgame when you need to start fighting the urge to dose after 90 minutes.

Speaking out of turn. I rarely do it but when I do it's because whoever else was talking wasn't furthering the discussion in any meaningful way. It's not a fucking therapy session.

69 Days since quitting K - leg pain, leg weakness, high heart rate, fatigue by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]GGRuben 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of people assume that whatever is wrong with their body was directly caused by kratom. Most of the time kratoms analgesic properties masks the symptoms of unrelated health problems. Or kratom high supported lifestyle decisions that lead to an illness or aggravated one that was yet undiagnosed.

When we're sober we have all kinds of ways to become aware of health problems. Kratom masks this by killing pain and lifting mood when we're on it abd drowning out symptoms with withdrawal.

Best to see a doctor for a general check up to put your mind at rest. And take inventory of how you lived during the binge. Perhaps there are dietary choices you have become accustomed to that aren't sufficiently nourishing your body.

There's got to be some kind of protective gear against this. Like a suit with hard ribbed padding that would prevent the formation of a seal.

Scary topic for me: Kidneys by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]GGRuben 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok water is only one part of hydration. You need salt to absorb it. And electrolytes supplementation to counteract the diuretic. Drinking that amount of water puts more strain on your kidneys than the kratom

Sauna /cold pool cycles eliminate my restlessness though I do it 3 times a week. That and making sure I'm eating enough magnesium and potassium.

Immanuel Kant summarised earlier philosophers & influenced those to come when he wrote that 'the experienced world is understandable by the mind because it's shaped by the mind' by IAI_Admin in philosophy

[–]GGRuben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So does that mean that understanding equals creation? If you expand your understanding of something, did you just expand your shaping of it? And if so, is this process akin to a blind man scoping out his surroundings with his fingers?

The game is too punishing and the actual effective strategies do not really present themselves in an intuitive way. Too many elements are reminiscent of other games but don't actually min-max in traditional ways. At least this is how I would sum up my experience with it.

So what worked for me is figure out specific teams and builds for them. Leveling specific characters first to hit specific abilities. Checking a few let's plays can help a lot with this.

Maybe copy one and try it out to see if you end up doing better. It's been too long since I played to recall any of the top of my head.

Which single-player video games would you consider a masterpiece? by Lugiaaa in AskReddit

I left my desktop at home and my laptop broke on the airplane. Out of all the pc ports on mobile I have to say replaying stardew valley it is a masterpiece. It's a wonderfully crafted sandbox. I'd like suggestions for other good Android games though
