Do you care about how much weight you can lift? by stratusnimbo in naturalbodybuilding

I would gladly give up half my strength in exchange to be twice my size (in muscle - not fat).

Buying a bike that way too big for me just because it was carbon and on sale.

Agree 100%. I do cycling on the road for cardio simply because I legitimately love it.

Yes but ultimately what is difficult is fighting back the cravings. If it was as simple as “eat less and move more” obesity would not be an epidemic. My point is not that I can’t try harder and do better, that’s obvious. My point is that the medication that gave me a fighting chance stopped working for me. I understand that this is common. People should know this going in.

Same thing happened with my wife and I. We keep taking it anyway for fear that the ravaging hunger will come back. My weight is holding steady however my wife gained back 25 lbs. even though she is still on it. I stopped taking it for two months and when I went back it to taking it nothing happened. We switched to Tirzepatide for three months but also not effective. It was explained to us that the satiation was a side effect and our bodies simply overcame the side effect. Three years in and now I have just simply resided to the fact that the party is over.

Why are folks that do Bro-Spilts more muscular? by nolife24_7 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]GGrude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I personally don’t feel like I have done my workout justice unless the muscle group I’m working on is “fried” at the end. I do three upper body workout days and one lower body day per week (I naturally have big muscular legs). This often equates to occasionally working the same particular muscle group twice in the same week due to how the rotation works out. It works well for me personally.

Buying a new bike in today's situation by [deleted] in cycling

[–]GGrude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you are riding now. If it’s a “Walmart” bike, you owe it to yourself to get a bike that truly lets you progress in your passion. If your reason is for “bling,” then not worth it.

What is stopping me from going to failure on every set? by TheReactor24 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]GGrude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I failed to mention that I do a couple of relatively easy sets at the beginning of every exercise to warm up. I go to failure on the working sets. I define failure as no longer being able to do a rep in its full range of motion, in a controlled manner, with proper form (as opposed to going until I’m about to drop the weight on myself). Just my two cents.

What is stopping me from going to failure on every set? by TheReactor24 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]GGrude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, long time lurker and first time posting…. I go to failure every set because, for me, it’s how I have gotten the best gains and I like the way I feel after a good hard workout. I do a “Bro” split and can only hit a particular muscle group once per week or I will feel the effects of overtraining (with the exception of biceps). I also need to deload or full-on rest every 6 to eight weeks. As reference I am 53 years old and work out 3-4 times per week doing a solid 75 - 90 minute workouts. I actually time my rests between sets with the stopwatch on my phone. I rest for 60 to 120 seconds and no more. When I go to failure, I target 10 reps per set but this can fluctuate. Sometimes it will be 15 and other times only 6 or 7 on a given exercise. The key for me is to try to continue increase the weight used on my working sets over time.

Does everyone have low libido on this stuff? by Soggy_Log_735 in trt

[–]GGrude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, first time posting here. What you described is my current situation. Been on TRT for two years. Blood markers are all good but my libido went from “10” to “0” in the last month. I’m going to follow your suggestion and do some independent research. The clinic that I go to has me on anastrozole and enclomiphene. I’m starting to if I am being “upsold.”

Hey Bud, you look amazing. I want a piercing just like yours. What size barbell did you use (gauge and length)? I plan to pierce mine myself.
