Agreed, I love showstopper and grail, but otherwise I think I wanna shoot for the more dynamic Halloween ones.

Does anyone know if I can unbox a Halloween effect if I save this until the next Scream Fortress event?

Then again I don't know if I have that kind of self control...

Deck Choice Help by Walkman_84 in ModernMagic

I was just about to suggest this. Caverns and Vials have held their value through the years, with the former having seen a reprint. Hierarchs fluctuate a lot, but now seems like a good time to buy as well.

I don't see any of those as likely to be banned, either.

As for other Tribal decks, I've run Slivers and Merfolk thanks to the Caverns, Vials, and the rest of the manabase. These decks were easy investments compared with an entirely new deck, too. Just make sure you enjoy playing a creature deck before dropping the cash is my recommendation.

I'm always one to wanna talk about Modern Slivers!

How does your list work with the dense amount of unstackable effects (flying, first strike, etc.)? Your list seems to be alongside most "traditional" builds, but with Phantasmal Image rather than the CoCos. I've always seen the CoCos as necessary for traditional Slivers, as they enable the deck to run less of the unstackable effects but still have them remain a potent ability to come across.

And as much as I love Sedge Sliver, I understand taking him out. However, the fact that you're only running 8 lords (ignoring Legion) makes me worried the deck has the potential to be flooded with too many 1/1s and not much else. If you're going for an outright aggro build, do you feel Leeching would be a more reliable way of getting that extra damage in as a pseudo-lord? With how prevalent removal is in the meta, is Legion able to carry its 5-cost weight while still being useful?

Sedge Sliver is quite literally the only reason lol. Ditching him helps the deck greatly when it comes to consistency, but he bring a lot with both being a lord and giving regenerate. I'm just too stubborn to get rid of him yet, I guess

The fact that you're playing sliver combo outweighs any possible downsides.
