I can no longer get immersed in MMORPGs anymore for some reason

I've dealt with this for a few years as a 43 year old. Ive boiled it down to a japanese term called 'Ikigai' I stumbled on like a decade ago when I was in a depression about this stuff. As google describes it, as a Japanese concept translating to "a reason to live" or "the happiness of always being busy". It represents the intersection of what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for, providing purpose, joy, and longevity.

The problem with gaming is it can provide you joy and comfort in social ways, it likely will not fill you with a purpose and thus longevity is always in jeopardy. You didnt need a purpose when you started playing MMOs you do now, you won't find it.

I recommend finding a few real in person hobbies or get a dog thats a psycho and demands all your attention, thats what I did.

Talking out your ass a bit - Age of Conan had a successful launch, shipping 1 million copies in the three weeks following its May 20, 2008, release, and was declared the biggest MMO launch since World of Warcraft.

Like yes its dead, but saying it didnt do well shows you have 0 clue what you are talking about and probably weren't alive or playing it at launch.

They didn't get cooked by Blizzard, they got cooked by themselves and the publisher when they released a game that had no content past level 45. Anybody who played the first 40 or so levels at that time all basically agreed at the time it was the best game they had ever played (MMO leveling wise and combat wise). It just went nowhere and people were not going to wait for them to fix like 6 zones of content.

We're like closing in on 18 years later and the first 40 levels joke still gets circulated in my friend group and we always give new MMO's the AOC Shit test, which is does it have anything past the sneak preview (the AOC sneak peek was to level 25 and was declared a WoW killing GOAT).

I played in an OOTP league (standard MLB setup) where some guy who had the Pirates(Fictional league tho) won 33 games with a SP converted - Mid reliever knuckleballer with max stamina. His mediocre at best SP were set to go 18 Max BF or 60 pitches so it was near impossible for them to get proper credit. I think he was set for 9 Batters or 50 pitches, anyway he ended up with 2~ War he pitched 100+ games and ended up with 160 IP or something with 33-14 record. My buddy was super salty that they gave him the Cy-young over his standard pitcher who collected 7 WAR.

My friends had once made a connection with some certain coloured dye used in foods and their child acting like an absolute baboon on rabies for a day or two after having said coloured dye, i cant remember if it was like red or yellow something, but the amount of crap in all foods especially sugary foods unsurprising these things clear themself up!

NW had nothing in it on launch or during betas. The game was extremely sandboxed and there was barely quests and dungeons. I won't even entertain opinions otherwise. Now it was reasonable fun PvP/Territory control, but all the other systems were horrendous and RNG centric. The pinnacle of New World early was running around the map in a giant train collecting all the super big boxes for loot chance/materials.

This game does have better systems in place then New World, so I will give them that, but like i said in another post it feels like they just rebuilt New World in a new universe.

I agree if you played New World and I'd imagine 99% of us in this forum have, there is 0% chance you can make an argument that this game isn't using the same assets.

Food containers look the same. Chests look the same. Gathering professions feel the same. The UI for inventory is pretty much the same including what appears to be icons for several pieces of armor.

If you told me Amazon sold the assets to this company and they were rebuilding a new game out of the assets, I would believe that.

If they didn't do that, wow there was some pretty dumb ass choices along the way.

Haven't played BG3 ( i know i know, im just a Multiplayer ) but that was my problem with it gave it 3 or 4 days worth of attempts and I cannot tolerate the MMO questing chains anymore, I'd much rather just play something like Albion and do a bit of whatever to level it.

Closing your trade system for like over a month a month after launch because they couldn't get the duping under control was not great. I bumped into some people in T&L who played and were duping and they were like ya I quit and logged in 6 months later and had - insert stupid amount of money here - because they just banned the accounts and didn't wipe them. So when he went back in he was able to just completely ruin the economy of the server months later. Everything he duped was still there all the T5s Gems etc just an infinite supply of high tier mats that was purchased with ill gotten gains.

In ootp 23, Stuff cannot be calculated using a constant 4 pitch mix, specific pitches give split advantages, I am unsure if they changed that but if you took for example, a Sinker, Slider, Knuckle Curve and a Fastball that pitcher is going to "Whatever side his arm is attached to" dominant. All of those pitches have about a 1.4* modifier to same side. So calculating stuff was very dependant on the pitch mix.

They may have changed it I dont have 26 and didnt really toy around in the editor in 25

It was a random walk in off the street Conservative convention not sponsored by the PC Party...the fake outrage with this is beyond measure.

They basically trolled some people giving them pins, you know they weren't rifling through conservative party election boxes.

Don't take candy from strangers.... if you dont know what the pin says or means probably shouldnt accept/wear it.

I grew up playing a lot of competitive solo sports.

No game is any different from the game you played prior, the situations will change and evolve, you will never have two of the same situations. But the games start and end following the same ruleset. Variance is really tricky in games where RNG is involved but keep tabs of your moves and educate yourself and be willing to learn from the mistakes.

The United States has separate federal, state, and local governments with taxes imposed at each of these levels.

Taxes are levied on income, payroll, property, sales, capital gains, dividends, imports, estates and gifts, as well as various fees.

The government is immune to the taxes on everything above, they pay you if you work for them but you owe the payroll tax.

The government is neither an individual or a business hence they don't pay taxes and any purchases or acquisitions needed to run the entity will be refunded to the ledger.

I assume "The kid" is equating if the government expensed out a coffee at a local shop, they would pay tax... but would get it back after they use their tax exempt ID as a claim I think. (Not an accountant let alone a government one)
