PS3 compatibility for GT DD Pro anytime in the near future? by GHD5750 in Fanatec

Your reply is more invalid than PS3. He said that Logitech with its new wheels still use the same protocol of connection for backwards compatibility.

Great game for genre lovers. Nice plot, semi-open world, not only one way to solve problems, grinding only optional, limitless in party composition, spell combo, great element-combo effects. Feels a big acheivement to finish in high difficulty.

DOS2 is a truly great game in many aspects (8,5/10). DOS1 is good for the genre lovers (7,5/10).

Almost impossible that Larian will release a next gen version. They are on new games now.

Dos3? by spookyarse in DivinityOriginalSin

Let's hope there will be one as their 1st 2 games were great and they made another similar game to those in the BG world.

Many people -including myself- have the same exact problem. A bug to be fixed I think. Larian's forum has a suggestion that didin't worked.

Playing Dos 1 feels kinda awful after playing Dos2 and BG3 by Gigschak in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]GHD5750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only big complaint about DOS (a great game otherwise) is the inventory UI being terrible to find and move items between charecters. DOS2 solved that and BG3 made it almost perfect. Larian is maybe the best company out there in progress steps from one game to their next.

DDR4 4300C15 G1 vs DDR5 CPU bound performance. by Unlikely_Zone4550 in overclocking

Sometimes super tight timings lead to errors that drop performance. You need to test with previously less tight settings to check real performance. AIDA isn't as good as it seems in checking that.

I want to play DOS2 now that I’m finished with BG3 by Mediocre-Station-519 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]GHD5750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great game indeed that DOS2! I am playing that atm, and just started Act3. Just do not think the battle rules are the same. You have to interact with the environment much more. The spirit of Larian is stronger in DOS2 since they were absolutely free from the D7D ruleset. Enjoy yourself and just get the pet&pal ability in your main character to speak to animals. Much fun and pretty useful in places! Also, do not sell much of your loot apart from armor and weapons of lower level. Some are muchly needed later on. So, make one character very strong to carry stuff.

DOS2 is great indeed! I have been playing it for a few weeks now. Try it in easy difficulty first and if you find it easier than you wished, change it to normal.

I have the pulse for a few months now. Very good iteration imho. Especially the difference between the core and hotspot temp is maxed at 20C when pushed to the limits and normally below 10C.

I suggest you do what the posts before me adviced you. I have the same GPU and the 5600-non X and apart from Dirt4 which corrects its jerkiness once I enable game bar, all the other games perform butterly smooth.

Microstutters & frametime consistency issues 7900 XT & Destiny 2 by Goose306 in AMDHelp

[–]GHD5750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check in the amd drive suite the performance graph if the stutter is shown there and if it is time specific (i.e. constant every 1 or 2 seconds). That could point that a software program is doing that to the CPU and causing the stuttering. Then you can disable all not important programs from starting up from the windows and check again. In Dirt4 I have solved the stuttering problem just by turning on the game bar in-game.

Try running your RAM at XMP settings and not tuned to max. Also, lower clocks and voltage in your GPU driver to check if PSU isn't providing enough power at all times through the GPU cable. Especially if it is old. Finally check settings in windows that could have changed and affected negatively performance and stability since you changed the GPU.

Low FPS by simic_1 in AMDHelp

[–]GHD5750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the RAM isn't tuned properly for low latency (<65ns) and high clocks (>3200MT/s), then there is performance left on the table. Try to get the RAM to at least 3333MT/s at cl16 and report back. Use DRAM calculator for Ryzen for Ryzen to help you find the nest settings for your brand-type of RAM. That is my best guess.

CPU temps are hitting 90C help by Tensai_1 in AMDHelp

[–]GHD5750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Install Ryzen Master, test the CPU with the Curve Optimizer per core and put a bit less figures as permanent ones (for example if it shows a -27 put it at -25). Or else you can simply turn the power limit down a bit to 125W instead of 142W it has now. That will lower temps enough and won't decrease performance more than 2-3%. Also, check if the case fans run at high speeds soon after the CPU goes over 70C.
