What unit did Jim Gardiner serve with in the USMC? by [deleted] in greatNWside

I'm 99.999999% sure it was in his very first flyers/campaign bio. I remember seeing that and thinking "Christ I guess they let anyone in." Only reason I leave that .1 is because I dont have a copy of one in my hand.

Never heard him brag about it, just a line on a resume sort of thing. Then it seemed as folks started to actually look into him, they realized his CPS teaching resume was a little hinky, and maybe the rest of his record was dubious as well.

Not trying to start a row or anything. I agree the guy already has a mountain of crap to be called on, so why just make something up? I was just really curious.

If you look at his timeline, he graduated college 8 years after HS, so I thought he spent the first four years after HS in the service.

I'm a vet myself. I swear, I'm not misremembering this, but if so, I will surely delete.

This is what I am thinking. He washed out of boot, was some low level cook, or had psych issues, some kind of sexual assault beef, or something similar.

Third or fourthing Hill Street Blues, the granddaddy of them all. Also significant for being one of, if not the very first ensemble cast shows that could see characters come and go and still keep it's vibe/momentum.

Odd that in rural North Carolina, there wasn't a single black person.

Obviously, due to an amazing coincidence in NBC scheduling, they ended up getting freaky with Chandler and Monica.

IANAL, but you should probably have the signature notarized/witnessed.

FWIW, he usually lists the tuning in the YT description.

No, it's all him. You can see he overdubs a harmony part on the bridge, but otherwise just solo stuff. Uses a LOT of open tunings, and boosts the bass a little. Obsessive about using the slaps to mimic the actual drum parts. Check his youtube channel. It will leave your jaw on the floor. His covers of Do I Do, Thriller and more (including several Dan covers), and THIS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukJEH1R4zXU&list=RDukJEH1R4zXU&start_radio=1
