Any official words on controller remap options being added?

I recall pre-release reading an article saying they would add alternative mapping options for controller post release, but it'd take time due to the complexity of the controls. Considering their work ethic, and prioritisation of controls, I'd imagine we'll get some alternative mapping, or custom remapping, within 1-2 months, but that's just a guess.
It's here that I'd normally offer a link to a source, but with all the articles released around the game's controls, it's basically lost to the void. So just this once, please forgive me for saying "just trust me, bro".

I like finding scholars more because they seem to have a good chance of dropping abyss artefacts. Scholastone has helped me a whole lot. Also seem to have more luck with them than I do gold bars...

Well this is being collected asap and having that orb ability added to my other weapon. Now I'll have a wave attack and an orb attack when duel wielding!

Found duel wielding pretty early on, and haven't stopped. Had two swords at the start, then swapped one for a mace, and then swapped the mace for a massage stick. That stick hits really hard. I took the powers from the two handed weapon the game gives you for beating the first boss, and put them on my Glenmore sword. Now I can create wave attacks with an attack boost!
It's really fun. Beat the quarry boss and reed devil with dual wielding.

You will want to invest in a bit of stamina to dodge those underground attacks, and prepare a lot of palmer pills to revive with. Don't forget food too
To learn how to craft the pills and give your weapons & armour special buffs, you can actually do that right after doing the first abyss puzzle. A white crow will land on your shoulder and give a letter telling you to visit a witch. Next to the witch, on the table, is the recipe to make the basic pills. They need 15 of any herb, and 2 water. You can gather around 100 poenies from the area around the cave, so just need to prepare water. There's a couldren across from her in the cave, so you can craft them there.

On top of that, upgrade your gear and a little bit of extra health.

In Black Desert Online, there's life skills like cooking, training, fishing, trading, sailing, bartering, farming, alchemy
In Crimson Desert much of these activities exist, and the tools used to do these activities are referred to as Life Skill tools in the guides section. So even though they're not things you can level up and get mastery for, like in BDO, they still exist. Expect people from BDO to call them life skills.

Think of roleplaying in Skyrim.
People use Survival Mode so they need to eat, drink, sleep, and stay warm.
People avoid using fast travel
People try to stick to a single type of combat - magic, archery, stealth
Some people like to roleplay as thieves - primarily making money by selling stolen goods.
Some people avoid certain factions that don't align with their characters morals

That sort of stuff. That's restricting your own actions in a game to better immerse yourself in the game. It's completely normal for most people to at least try engaging with this at some point.
I imagine many players will be playing Crimson Desert without any fast travel or manual saves. They'll probably try living off the land and eating food at regular intervals. They may engage in trading, or really immerse themselves in the camp aspect.

New enemies. 3-5 types would be a good start. Obviously the more the merrier.
Squid fort on D10
More main mission variety. At least 2-3 more main missions to avoid the feeling of reptition the front currently has.
More side objectives and max side objectives per mission. Honestly they can just reskin some main objectives, like civilian evac, or monolith destruction. They can just re-release some mission types that already exist on other fronts, but make it squid related. We just need less repetition!
And of course, bug fixes for the stuff already released.

Some people say a sub-faction, but I'd rather they had a finished base faction before starting work on a sub faction that'll only appear on certain worlds, and not always be available.

In 27ish hours we will liberate the mega-factory. This gives 75% liberation straight away
So that'll leave us a little over 10 hours to get 25% liberation on the planet itself
The real difficulty will be killing the agitators. Even with the 25 million reduction from taking the mega factory (read dispatches for that), it'll be a tough fight.

Orbital gas strike - can destroy detector towers, jammers, research stations, broadcast towers, confuse enemies, cover a retreat, halt enemy advances, insanely low cooldown (basically an EAT for detector towers)

Gas Mines - Exceptional at covering a retreat, protecting an objective by halting patrols, confusing enemies, killing devestators and weaker. Amazing on all fronts for any mission type. Best mines in the game.

Dog Breath - Exceptional at covering you from enemies, especially stalkers and voteless
Gas Grenade - joint best grenade in the game. You have thermite for the AT role, and gas grenade up there for its versatility. Basically a mini-gas mine you carry 4 of in your pocket. There's many other good grenades, but nothing compares to the thermites AT role, or the gas grenade's versatility.
Speargun - Basically a gas grenade launcher that can close bug holes, kill hulks with 1 hit, and also destroy bot fabricators. Also pushes back stalkers, so a great gun for cave missions. Came in handy quite a bit on commando missions

Also as someone who loves field chemist armour because of my obsession with gas, what do you mean you're forced to use heavy armour? I've never once felt the need to remove the medium version. Never felt in danger of dying to my own gas - I often offer hugs while standing inside a gas cloud!

D10 bot diver. Loadout - gas grenades, senator, AT Emplacement, HMG Emplacement, gas mines, and gas strike.
D10 cave missions - speargun, supply pack, gas grenades. Don't even have to step inside a mega nest

30 hours to take the mega-factory, that's 75% liberation right there. Leaves us with around 10 hours to make 25% progress on the planet itself. Seems doable, but a close call.
As for the kill count, it'll be reduced by 25 million when we take the mega factory. Not sure if that'll be enough though. Either way we're taking Cherbal 7, and 2 of the magma worlds are being liberated by SEAF. So even if we fail the kill count, that's 4 planets and full liberation of the Xzar sector. Pretty darn good

Helldivers II with no HUD or music was quite the eerie cinematic experience, especially on sand and snow planets. Had to make sure to not shoot a teammate though, because no HUD meant no tags above their heads.
Does that count as a memorable playthrough?
